I don't think many people know this but:
    • If you phone vodafone and ask for your PAC code they put you through to a seperate department.
    • They then ask if you would be interested in any promotions to try and persuade you to stay.
    • They tell you about "stop the clock" and free weekend calls.
    • They then ask you if you would accept £10 to stay for a minimum of another 30 days!
    • They credit it to your account straight away and you only have to stay for 30 days. :j
Perfect if you have no plans of leaving!!!
    • The last point to make is that this can be done once every 6 months!!
Sorry but only for PAYT customers!

    The numbers for Vodafone are:
191 (from your vodafone PAYT phone) or
    08700 776655

    Good Luck!!

P.s : Fell free to hit the thanks button!;) ;)

I requested my pac code from T-Mobile last week. A very pleasant lady gave it to me straight away. She didn't ask any questions, only, is there anything else I can help you with.

i just got given my pac code
    no question atall
  • To answer the earlier question about whether other networks offer similar deals...

I rang Orange a couple of weeks ago to request a PAC to transfer to Virgin (because of free voicemail calls) I was offered a £20 discount off a new phone, I picked the Nokia 1208 £9.99 so also got a £10 call credit added as well and also 5p per minute calls to Orange & Land Line numbers for 6 months instead of the usual 15p.

Saved money on my calls, got £10 call credit and a new (basic) phone (which I'll give to my parents to replace their 10 year old mobile!!). Not bad considering I'm a light mobile phone user.

Apparently Orange can offer you up to two deals when requesting a PAC, these include:
    £20 off new phone
5p per minute calls for 6 months
free voice mail calls for 6 months
2p text messages for 6 months
there was another discount available but I've forgotten what it was...

    Hope this helps someone.
  • for that
Just rang 02, and tried this had to ring off me landline though 08705678678 asked for pac code , explained that rest of family were on orange and wanted cheaper calls so was going with that now have cross network calls 25p min for 1st 3 mins then they reduce to 5p used to be 40p min 1st 3 mins and £10 credit added straight away .:T
