£10 Free from Vodafone!!!

I don't think many people know this but:

• If you phone vodafone and ask for your PAC code they put you through to a seperate department.
• They then ask if you would be interested in any promotions to try and persuade you to stay.
• They tell you about "stop the clock" and free weekend calls.
• They then ask you if you would accept £10 to stay for a minimum of another 30 days!
• They credit it to your account straight away and you only have to stay for 30 days. :j

Perfect if you have no plans of leaving!!!

• The last point to make is that this can be done once every 6 months!!

191 (from your vodafone PAYT phone) or
08700 776655

is that like a puk code or maybe diff?? normally its automated to get that kind of info!! how do you know this, have you tried it? when you say they ask if you'd like to stay, i presume you mean you have to tell them you are thinking of going with another company first? gr8 find anyway :j

A PAC code is the code you need in order to move your mobile number to another network. So therefore simply by asking for it they would know you are planning on moving to a different network.

Thanks for the info, Craigshells, it's nice to know it's there. But I would call it a £10 refund, rather than £10 for free, given the horrendous amount that Vodaphone make off any user. Even on PAYT rather than a monthly contract. 35p a minute to talk to someone! Rip off land.

I will never, never understand why or how telecoms companies have been able to rob people of the sums that they have over the past 10 years, all to make a mobile phone call.

But then again, I've never heard a mobile phone conversation that really needed to be made!

• Yes i have done this on 2 seperate phones and it always worked!:j

This is brilliant! Thanks! I've just done it, I said that I wanted to move to orange because their texts are cheaper and they gave me the free £10 and free 500 texts a month if I spend £15 a month (which I usually do!)

(Ask for a Port Authorization Code, they thought I was talking about a PUK for a while!)

I barely needed to explain why I wanted to change when I called VP up, and they signed me up to the 500 texts a month thing too..

Mind you I did only get £5 credit so maybe their catching on lol, but who cares it's the best freebie i've seen in a while..
