Can someone finally clear up this banking situation ..... if you bank a code then do the shop after the code has expired does this mean you do not get the discount ... or does the website recognise the fact that you banked during its validity period
how do you bank codes .... can you just go to the website and input them without doing a shop ?
many thanks in advance0 -
I'd like that expalined too!
Did my 1st order the other night, input 3 codes from here, none were deducted from the shopping bill, but the 4th one I tried was £5.00 off, this was used and deducted.
When I looked at the Banked Codes, the other 3 codes are there. How...or....can....I use these on my next order?? How does this system work?
I also had a voucher sent with my Tesco Food Club stuff for 500 extra points on my first on-line order, will this show on the bill I get today with the groceries!!
Me no understand........:j0 -

I hope this answers some of your concerns?
Once the XX code has expired it will be removed from your "eCoupons/eVouchers bank vault" as it is only vaild at the time it is entered eg: checkout time. Therefore if entered the code during the vaild period yet you don't checkout say to the next day after its expired then you lose it.
The XX code can only be entered at the checkout (point 4 on the Checkout page), and your bill will be reduced by the amount shown if you've done the required spend.
To add several codes, go to the Checkout page and then click on "If you have more than one code to enter ...". The sytem will bank these codes and will use the highest (vaild) value one in turn.
A method for just adding codes to your eCoupons/eVouchers bank is just to set up a spoof order. eg: Order one or two items, click on "checkout", go to point 4 and add the vouchers, checkout and then just cancel the order.

It will depend on several factors: i) Your quailfying spend ii) The value of the voucher and iii) the expiry date of the coupon (not necessarily in that order).toozie wrote:When I looked at the Banked Codes, the other 3 codes are there. They will be used automatically in order (if they haven't expired) or you can manually select what one you want to use (depending on spend etc) from your eVoucher bank. If you added the 500 point code too, then you should get it, if it doesn't show up just call Tesco customer service and get them to add the points that way.
BTW, codes starting XX can only be used once per transaction. A method I use to get around this - just have your order delivered in twp parts, say Tuesday and Wednesday. £20 discount for £7.98 worth of delivery = £12.02 profit. Thankyou very much Tesco's0 -

Code banking has been covered many times before in previous Tesco threads. Once the code has expired, you cannot use it ... regardless of when you input it.
You can easily input a code prior to doing your shop. Just prepare your shop (it can be altered/changed/deleted at a later date). When you go to "checkout", you'll see a few places to insert your code. When you've done this, it's probably easier not to click on "proceed" at the bottom of the page, then return and complete your shop later. You can press "proceed" though if you wish, then you'll have the option when you return to your shop to change/delete/alter delivery date, etc.
Hope this helps.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -

You have to be careful to watch this though, as I have on numerous occasions expected the voucher with the highest value to be taken off my bill, only to find that it is ignored until it has expired! I have phoned Tesco to ask for the money to be taken off my bill and it has been, but they have always said they will contact their technical support people to change the system and it has continued to happen.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
Sarahsaver wrote:The other thread was getting a bit unruly, so here I am trying to get together all the current Tesco grocery codes - i.e. not codes for the wine or electricals and so forth. To keep things tidy can we please just use this thread for codes, any chatty posts or codeless posts will be removed. Hopefully this will help when anyone is looking for codes to use.
Thanks;)

I've just taken delivery of my tesco grocery order but the receipt from the driver says my £10 ecoupon could not be used. I used the £10 off £50 one and it accepted it at the checkout, but now I've looked at the tesco terms and conditions it states that you cant use them against medicines {I had clariton in my order which took my total amount to just over the £50} - I also had loads of bogofs which took it down to £33 anyway. Is my reasoning correct do you think and could I get tesco to honour th ecoupon or should I just put it down to experience?0

My understanding is that the voucher should still be valid on the buy one get one free's. Don't know about the medicines, but it is usual not to get bonus points on things like that, so I suspect that's right. In my (very) humble opinion, vouchers are a bonus, and I would never complain about them - unless, possibly, if it was sent directly to me.
Saying that, I have NEVER had a voucher sent to me by Tesco - have used a few thanks to the people who post them on here though! Thanks peeps!
