Change from Tiscali

I have been with Tiscali for 3 years paying £14.99 a month. Tried to get them to reduce monthly repayments, but they refused after spending 30 mins hanging on phone. I am looking for a provider maybe with telephone. Anyone suggest one with good customer service and cheaper than the above. Thanks

You'd be hard pushed to find all the above for cheaper with good customer service.

The rule of thumb is you get what you pay for. If you're looking for both telephone and broadband package with good customer service then you might have to dip a bit more into your pocket!

I agree this is alot to ask for the price, but does anyone know if there is stand alone broadband for less than £14.99. Tiscali customer services is non existant!

I used to be with Tiscali, but ditched them eventually after a struggle and a complaint to the Ombudsman. Which I won.
One of the problems with T is that they continually lie to you and will not give you a mac cade. this cade is required when you change ISPs, it allows the new ISP to take-up your now free telephone line.

  • I'm in a similar situation - been with them years, all they could offer me was £12.99 instead, so giving Sky a go at £5 a month for broadband. Phoned Tiscali Friday for a MAC code, had it texted to me within half an hour, and written confirmation of code arrived today. So - so far so good.....!! Will see how the rest of the changeover goes though.

Yes I am. I have never had a problem with them.
Suggest you sign up for the cheapest package, which I think is £9.99. If there is not enough download Mg in that you can add to it buying 1mg at a time.

    Hope this helps.

    cheers

    Hi lin32

I agree with the others, to get standalone would be hard to beat £14.99, but bundled with line rental and calls you could probably get some good deals. The LLU deals are "cheapest" at the moment, but are a bit more restrictive if you want to change down the road.

    Good luck

What does anyone think about Virgin and Sky broadband. If you had to choose between the two which one?
  • LLU or ADSL?
