what's your families favourite pasta dish??

Options
Hi, i was just wondering what is your fave pasta dish?

I do the usual bolognaise ,meatballs ,lasagne with beef or turkey mince but that's it.

I would love some more cheap and quick ideas for a family of five.

Nothing spicy though as kids won't eat it

Thanks a lot in advance for any ideas

Macaroni with a lump of warm bread straight from the oven?

Use a good strong cheese and you won't need to use loads :)

  • my fave is pesto, add fried mushrooms and its lush!!!
always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T

  • Fry off chopped bacon, onions & peppers in olive oil with some crushed garlic. Add a tin of tomatoes & black pepper and simmer until slightly reduced. you can add mushrooms too, but I only do that if the kids aren't having any! Also nice with a bit of chili powder for some extra kick...

Nice with any sort of pasta.
  • A bit similar to the above, I have just a little olive oil, fried streaky bacon and a tim of toms and it is really nice and so easy. Also, fried onions, chicken soup and sweetcorn, with or without a little chilli sauce is nice as well. Must do some this week!

Carbonara: cook spaghetti and then toss with egg yolk, cream, parmesan cheese and some crispy bacon. We put some peas in the pasta water.

  • Pasta and broccoli bake:

Cook pasta shapes and broccoli. Make a cheese sauce, add grainy mustard and dried oregano. Mix the sauce round the pasta and broccoli and bake for 15-20 at about 200.

    Scrummy! Also cheap and meatless
