I don't think this thread is a goer - I can't think of anything more exciting to call it, but have temporarily changed the title to draw attention to my plight! I have found one place online that may be able to supply a replacement manual for a tenner, but if anyone here has the right one and would be happy to...then so much the better, some quids saved!

I've checked the model number, it's a Singer Samba 6, 6215C (I'm sure the "C" bit is optional?!...

I have never used a machine before, so it's not the case that I can just figure it out for myself, I'm a total novice, and I really want to get started!

    Fingers crossed!...

You could try an "I wanna" on that board to see if anyone there can help. I'm blowed if I can find anything useful for you. Sorry.

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle

Can the relevant bits of this - the manual source and what machine it is for be added into the Manual Collection thread please?

    :)

  • Hi, you all sound so friendly on this forum so hoping someone may be able to help. I have been given a cordon bleu slow cooker. Its sort of beige on the outside and has a brown pot inside and a brown lid. I'm ahamed to admit I tried it twice ages ago and wasn't impressed with the results. Since reading this site I want to try using it properly but I have no manual or recipes. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it. Someone is selling one on ebay but it comes with the cooker as well!!

I just don't know where to start, do I have to brown meat first? If I don't put enough liquid in will it boil dry? How long does a basic beef stew take or basic mince and veg? My family like really plain food, I looked on the recipes board here and some of them look good. We've decided we want to feed ourselves properly, not keep using packet stuff, so any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. I'm not a very good cook.
