Scuzz - What did you get on ebay - I'm nosey!

Sola - Hope you feel better soon.

PP - I always wait for paypal to tell me when the payment has cleared - but I try and email the buyer concerned just to say - thanks for your paypal pending payment - once it's cleared your goods will be sent - just saves them getting narky if they don't realise it's not instant payment. Well done on your first 2 items though - it's quite addictive.

Hugs to the rest of you.

DD1 is still tucked up in bed with a stinking cold, DD2 who was still looking so peeky last night has woken up full of beans so she's off to school in a mo. DH looks like death warmed up but he's got to go in as he's got meetings he can't get out of. I'm feeling much better and after a lovely late bout of tummy upset yesterday (sorry tmi) I think I've lost about half a stone.

Need to catch up with some basics this morning and might even get round to washing the tops of the kitchen units off (I said MIGHT)

Hope you all have a great day.

Came downstairs just before seven and made some tea. Need to go to doctor later for a repeat prescrption for thyroid medication.

Spent some time with sticky tape removing fluff from the trousers DD had borrowed from a friend for P.E. Dont know what I washed them with but it looked awful!!!

    Hester

"Katy" is not only inconsiderate but she sounds downright dangerous!!!!

Have some mushy peas left from yesterday so might make soup and use up some onions and leeks as DH only like "green soup" apparenty!!!!!

The same restriction does not seem to apply when he scoffs tinned stuff though!

No idea what to make for tea but might do sausages with potato spicy wedges (home made).

I won two Pocket Dragon pins. There were only available with certain pieces - club joining pieces - and were never sold in the shops. You had to join the free club. Got two for 50p:T :T :T

    Morning

Cant seem to crack this cold at all - woke up this morning coughing like a 40 a dayer

Got some worky bits to crack off today with a short interlude for a pub lunch with mum and dad. I am taking my lap top and portable internet connection with me to start to get them used to it - they have ordered their own internet and lap top through aol and are just waiting for it to arrive - Im really proud of them that at 76 they are starting to learn how to use a computer. Suspect I may be doing a fair bit of coaching over the next few weeks:D Hope they decide to use this site - my mum could really do with some help with her cooking:rotfl: maybe that really is a bit too late:D

Donny gal - My next holiday is down to my best mate who wanted a few girly days away when her DD and DH go skiing next week for half term. Anyway I was really busy at work so just left her to it. I know she really struggled getting anything abroad with the high prices ( something i never have to contend with normally but how expensive!!!!I could get 3 holidays out of the school holidays for the price of one for this week) Anyway she rang me during work to let me know she had found something but its UK- I was really busy so i just said to book it.
So the outcome is, we are now going to a Warner hotel in the uk which is adult only and has ....wait for it.........bingo and ball room dancing as entertainment:eek:  :rotfl: :rotfl: My folks go regularly (note the age above) and claim its lovely and quiet:rotfl:
In her defense it has gorgeous rooms and a spa centre so I suspect a few days of chillin and reading are on the books:D

Hester - Can I move in with you, you are so nice and I wont be half as much trouble as Katie

Right off to do some work I suppose need to pay for my extreme holidays somehow:rotfl:

    Hugs

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sounds right up your street. :D On the plus side there could be an opportunity to meet an old duffer with a dodgy ticker and a squillion in the bank. ;)

Sorry to hear you're under the weather Sola.
Hope things get sorted for you soon Hillstep.

Well things are getting back to normal here. I am recovering (though I may have a teensy tiny infection in my wound. :o  ) and Pink is heading off to catch the plane in a couple of hourse leaving me with lots of yummy food for the freezer and some turkey broth bubbling in the slow cooker.
I can't say she has helped my recovery in so much as I have almost burst my stitches several times with laughter and sitting up intil 4am is probably not condusive with a speedy recovery but I would have been lost without her the last few days and she really is the best big sister I could ask for. So thank you Pink and I love you loads.:A and sorry for all the p i$$ taking.:o ;):D:p

All this talk of ebay has sprurred me on to try and get round to listing some stuff this week as I'm sure I'm up to that. There is stuff in the cupboard from the last 2 years that I need to sell. :o I overdid the listing the last time I did it and put myself off. But any spare cash is going into my greenhouse fund so every little helps. ;)

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi everyone

I'm determined to have a good week this week! The weekend was productive, lots of baking (carrot cake, quiche, tortilla and some jam tarts with the excess pastry). I started to repair the scratch on my motorbike - it took an hour to prepare the area but I couldn't prime it because the temperature was too low, but at least it's a start. It's only half an inch long but it annoys me as I liked it more when it was really shiny! My boss is away this week, so the pressure is lower at work than normal. I've just moved my desk, which should confuse him when he gets back. :D At least for a bit.

It's OH's birthday on thursday, so I've booked tickets to see AvenueQ in London (lastminute.com is my saviour!). I have to off-load my teaching duties to get there in time, but I'm owed a swap so it shouldn't be too bad.

scuzz, I love pocket dragons! My mum bought me my first one on my 18th - it's called "you can't make me". Don't know what she was getting at... Well done getting the pins so cheap!

Hugs to hilstep and sola. :grouphug: Glad you're feeling better haribo

Hope you all have a good day! sarah x

    Hello everyone!:hello:

Phew I'd better get my act together and get posting more otherwise you will be kicking me out of the OS club:rotfl:

Last friday whilst getting a new kettle in sainsburys (MR Accents one in the sale!) a lady's buggy collapsed with her shopping and the baby! She also had a 5yr with her. So I took her home and she was very very grateful (especially as it was so windy & cold) - felt good to do a good deed:D plus I'd like to think someone would help me out if I was every in trouble.

Saturday we all went ice skating at canary wharf, good fun and the kids did really well for their first time!! Its enough to stand up and go round one way - let alone do what they do on Dancing on Ice!

Went to rememberance mass for FIL yesterday and DH has taken his mum to the cemetary today (4yrs ago he died - dont know where the times gone!)
Hillstep - hope things get sorted out soon for your mums funeral x

I'm just finishing putting away the Football Kit (as it was DS1's turn to wash it! more like mum's turn to wash it! :rotfl: ).

I've bought some veggie oil to try out the new fryer tonite:D so egg n chips I think for tea!!

Haribo - Glad to see yr on mend!!:D thanks to pink;)
penpen - Its exciting when you do yr first sale on ebay isnt it? Ive got some videos to list when I get round to it! although I dont think I will get much interest in my 80's Chippendales Video!! :rotfl: maybe Aimee will be interested though;) but then again it doesnt have Ian Beale in it!:rotfl:

celyn90 - seeing yr signature....did you know its the anniversary of the Lego Brick this year?

mioliere - kathy did you post those recipes? If so, which day are they on? as I havent been on for a couple of days. thks
Time to crack on and shake a leg! Have a good day everyone!
