Morning all, I'm off to get the sticky
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Been up since silly o'clock here, Katy managed to blow the downstairs lights at 4am, that wouldn't have disturbed me, but unfortunately she was in the middle of ironing her clothes for work, so she
woke us up to sort the problem out!!!
Turkey ham & mushroom pie for tea tonight, made with turkey left over from sunday lunch.
Have a great day eveyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning - I'm just exhausted. I'm only sleeping a few hours a night and I don't know why. I could cry at the thought of having to go back into work again. We're very busy but normally I find that a challenge. I'm seriously wondering if I'm going into an early menopause. Trying to live an OldStyle life while working very long hours in the City is just not working for me. I can't remember the last time I just had fun - all my time and energy is spent trying to make the house work on a basic level, and it just doesn't.
Sorry - I don't have anything positive to say this morning. Hope everyone has a better day than me.0 -
Morning Hester and all who cross/follow:
Hester I think you need to insert a clause into her agreement of a £50 charge for out of hours call outs!
As many of you were feeling frisky yesterday, thought you may like to read the article in a local free paper here:
http://www.coastrider.net/health.htm
I think it is the fourth article down named $exercise. We know now why Pen-Pin said what she did for pain relief of course.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So if the pain gets too bad folks, or you feel down, or want to lose weight, stick a DVD on for the kids, and head for the bedroom.:j :j :j
Awake a little early due to DH's snoring, still at it now. Found a new dial up with a cheaper rate so may get here a little more, but its still slow and keeps losing the internet:mad: .
Actually got down to a little x-stitch last night, thinking of getting my paints out today. Other than that no real plans.
((((hugs)))) all round especially Sola - are you trying to do everything yourself? Can your OH (if you have one, sorry don't know) help?
Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
morning hester Scuzz and amie, and all who follow,
Still dark here so cannot see what weather is doing, but its cold again. Daughter has just got up, poor thing hates getting up. Still I thin its only two weeks till half term.
Got lamb chops mash and veg for tea tonight, yesterdays beef was a bit tough got a load left though, might make a casserole with the rest for tomorrow.
Got a wash to do, and will have a good tidy / clean through, got an online shop to do with a £10 voucher as they were late :j .
Any way have good days all, will pop back later xx0 -
Morning All!
Still dopey this morning. Took a couple of pills last night for the MS pain, but they do knock me out!
Hoping I might hear from the Coroner today, so we can go ahead with Mamma's funeral. All this hanging about isn't good for any of us, especially Daddy.
Taking her clothes to the funeral director this morning, that wasn't a nice thing to do, but she told me what she wanted, the outfit she wore to her sister's wedding two years ago, so that's what it will be.
((((((HUGS))))))) to Sola. Rotten when you can't sleep.
Have a good day all.I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Morning everyone
(I'm coming out of lurker land to stay!!)
I've got work later, start at 9. About to do some rotten ironing so I have something to wear (must really get more organised). Got to post some ebay stuff and list some more tonight when I get home.
Have a good day

I'm getting far too addicted to this site tho - It cant be healthy!0 -
Morning
Chin up Sola, Spring is coming and I'm sure we will all feel much better when it is light in the mornings.
Anyone watch Dancing on Ice, Poor old Aggie, mind you she did look relieved when they said she was out
Work today, so chicken casserole in slow cooker, and then I will put veg in the steamer while we take the dog out, so tea will be ready when we are
Sold lots on Ebay over the weekend, Scuzz, don't think you bought anything of mine
hilstep, you snook in while I was typing, hope you are OK, and everything is sorted soon. My friends husband died suddenly at 52, but the coroner let them have the funeral before any inquest.
Welcome to the madhouse loopylou
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good morning everyone! Had a great weekend, and am raring to go this week. Have a training course tomorrow morning, and hope to meet a friend for lunch.
Sold my first 2 items on eBay :j :T one of which was DS's Gameboy. I've promised the Small Penguins that they get all the income from selling their stuff (after costs, of course) so he was delighted when I woke him last night to tell him  Hoping that when I hand over the cash DD will be similarly enthused to declutter
One of the items has been paid for but is listed as "Pending payment through paypal". please can anyone enlighten me as to what this means, and when I'm OK to send the item
Making whisky marmalade today, and doing more work on sewing my blind.
Hester -Katy never ceases to amaze - you need to get Hollywood interested :rotfl: :rotfl:
Amie - what colour did you expect carrot soup to be
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning all
SOLA hugs to you. Go and see your practice nurse and ask him/her to do some bloods, it could be anything. I found out it was my thyroid. You also might be pre-menopausal which can be pretty grim. There are loads of herbal things you can take to balance you out. PM me if you need to.
HILLSTEP hugs to you
HUGS to anyone else who wants one and HESTER when are you going to give that woman notice?!!!!!
Had a good night at work. WM is on. Will stick some chicken in the SC for tea when I get up. Have to go to Asda when I get up. Off to turf DS out of bed.
Have a good day all
