Regarding the points for booking your holiday with boots. This is my experience of this today.
You can only get points on the price of holidays booked in a Thomas Cook high street shop.
I have just priced a holiday for my parents to Las Americas this Nov staying 4* h/b for 1 week.
Today i priced it in our Thomas Cook shop this holiday with flights, accommodation, transfers but NO MEALS ON PLANE came to a total cost of £876. To add meals which were £20 this would have been a total cost of £896.
I came home and priced it on the internet and got the same holiday for £766. This was because the internet Thomas Cook site is giving discounts for booking on the site and then gives a additional agents discount of £60, this total of £766 is for everything accommodation, transfers, meals on plane.
Which gave me a saving of £130 and that is cash in the pocket.
I also rang the number on the boots page and she would only do the holiday for the same price as in the shop. And she would give me 8000 points which is a saving of £80 so obviously i booked on line. And the saving in cash will do for drinks.0 -
Saint_Chris ... my holiday problem is the exact opposite problem to yours !! ... booked my holidays in TCOOK high st shop and was told by assistant that because it had been booked from a brochure in the promotion I WOULD qualify for BOOTS points .... HOWEVER TCOOK have now refused to give me my points stating I had to phone a dedicated phone number to receive them ( so have lost out on nearly £400 worth of points ... have complained TWICE so far but with NO JOY .... I am NOT impressed by the sale tactics of some of their staff !!0

Have you complained to Boots and Thomas Cook!? Keep complaining & ask to take it higher up. That really is poor service!!!0 -
Hi Puddytat ( BTW great name ).... cannot really blame BOOTS as false info was given by TCOOK employee clearly wanting to take my booking there & then ( commission for her sale I presume ) have expained all this to TCOOK in 2 letters.. that I had waited several months for the right holiday to come along to take advantage of the points offer ... I was amazed by a SENIOR customer relations executive reply that as there may be many other people in the same position I could not & would not be made the exception to the rule and she was very sorry but hoped I will still enjoy the 2 holidays I have booked with them ..... I am in the process of trying to cancel both holidays as I feel cheated by them but again been told if I do this I will LOSE all the money I have paid as deposits ..... I will however be seeking legal advice !0

" where you all getting this cheap toni&guy shapmpoo. "
Ah ha....!
You see that prices sometimes show one but scan at another... hence, why, it's worth asking for a price check at the till for a couple of products.
Sometimes they are even in the discount corner - I've seen a control-it gel priced at £1.12! But I decided that £2.24 for shampoo (plus 250 pts) was better as i don't use gel! Maybe I should buy it anyway just for 250 pts!
Forgot to say, I have figured out a superb deal for everyone (untested), but you will have to wait for November until I spill the beans (if you can take the excitement!) as not valid b4 then anyway - maybe you can even guess....?0 -
Not entirely sure if this counts, but I've just found this on the Boots website:
http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1054820&classificationid=1029139&wblinktype=PL&wblinkdetail=position1
It's a pin to support breast cancer awareness, it costs £10 but you get
500 extra point, so 540 in total.
Doing a good thing (although it doesn't say that any money goes to the
charity) and getting points for it...
(Apologies if the link doesn't work - still haven't got the hang of them yet!)0 -
Following on from my previous post (shown below), I had no money on me for lunch so thought I'd walk into my very own Boots store and pay by card for lunch (I'm convinced they know I work nearby and opened this one for me specially!). Anyway, what happened was that they had more items reduced in the Natural Collection range (currently on 3for2) so for £5.46 (plus 21 pts & one soft toy token - so okay plus 0.5% cashback on creditcard) I bought 9 items and then realised I had forgotten my lunch so went to M&S for a sarnie instead!
Black Cherry range
2xBody Lotion
2xBody Spray
Poppy range
1xBody Spray
Mango&PassionFlower range
1xBody Scrub
1xLoofah Soap
LipSalve
2xLemon Flavour Lipsalve
***Previous Post***
Walked into my very own store nextdoor to work (is probably open there just for me as small store!) and lo and behold the natural collection range which is 3for2 at the mo was also reduced to half price or less.....
Needless to say I picked up 19 bath/body products (19 coz one had somehow sneaked through into my shopping bag without lady scanning on my receipt and messed up my 3for2s) for a mere £13.12 plus 58 points and 2 soft toy tokens - I make that a cool 66p per product (up to £3.00 each before!).
Items included:
Daisy range
Dry Body Oil Spray
Bath Essence
Body Creme (Whirly design)
Ocean Deep range
Body Spray
Bath Essence
Body Creme (Whirly design)
Green Tree range
Body scrub
Body Lotion (pump bottle)

Well, you've got me wondering there!
I could only get 150 points for Toni & Guy stuff, old man's card doesn't get any plus I could find nothing scanning under £4.49. Too expensive for me even at 3 for 2 with 450 points!!
Maybe if I didn't already have a hundred or so bottles of assorted shampoo and conditioner from Original Source....Trevor Sorbie....0 -
Just had a lovely time in Boots -
3 glitter babes gift bags (3 for 2) 59p each total - £1.18 plus 150 points!!
3 FCUK reduced body washes (3 for 2) total - £2.06 plus 150 points!
Also got one pair of tigger pjs, 3 tops and some combats trousers in the mini mode sale for £23 instead of £46 and gt an extra 500 points
My points are being saved to buy a steriliser etc for impending arrival but I relly think I am addicted to Boots shoping now!!Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0 -

regarding the internet price ....... I recently priced a holiday on the T/C site and made a note of the reference no. but also wanted a quote for another hotel that was not on their site so called the T/C call centre got the quote I wanted and asked about the hotel I'd seen on line. The price she gave me was much higher so I queried it and gave her the internet ref. no. The result was she called me back 5mins later apologised 'for the mix up on her computer' ??? and quoted the same price as the internet, so I got another reference of her and used that to book through the boots points!**************************************
I need someone really bad! Are you really bad?
