Actually I have something to admit.
I havent been around this thread for nearly two weeks I have since then been playing around with another thread............shock horrors!!!!
I am a fully fledged argos tart too...............
Anyway back to boots thanks for the tip on toni and guy although I had a voucher for 250 points and it only gave me 200 per product, didnt feel that I could complain really as three shampoos for £4 is still ok.
Also bought 3 glitter babes @ 1.25 on 3 for 2 and got 150 points.
I wonder if there will be any new offers tomorrow as it is wednesday.0 -
im more interested in knowing if the Offer Of The Week on the website is of any use to me - after the fun with the DVD player last week!

Hi, interesting post
How did you manage to get 200 points per product?
On my coupons it is only one coupon per transaction so that would mean only 1 lot of 250 points would come off when you buy the three together.
I my last 3 shopping trips, I have had trouble getting points put on at all! I had 3 different coupons for 3 different products and the only one it would put on was the bombay mix (50 tokens). I had to ask them to put the points on for me. Some assistants were more stubborn than others.
If you put the toni & guy products through separately then you wouldn't get your third free - is this correct?
Thanks0 -
You buy them all at once, and you only need to use one voucher.
I did this in two differant stores today so it should definately work nationally.

you buy 3 of them on 3 for 2 and hand over one voucher, in most cases it will give you 3 lots of points despite what the till staff say. when the machine was giving out 50 points on delicious i bought a meal with all three items from the delicious range and it gave me 150 points. shame they don't do that anymore.
i think somebody said in the first thread that she only got one lot of 250 points for toni and guy, so maybe it's different for different people. somebody got 750 points when buying them didn't she? i got 600, it seems to give the points for all three, but only 200 for each instead of 250 for each. still, if you're only paying a tenner for the three and you get 600 points back it's pretty good for shampoo especially if it's nice. you can always try it and then take it back if you don't like the amount of points you were given lol! say hubby bought it and got the wrong brand for you :-)52% tight0 -
I took back the Toni and Guy shampoo that leaked everywhere today (I have not heard back from T&G via email and was going to Boots anyway...) but at the same time I bought another 3 and swapped the leaky one but the nice lady put them all through together and refunded the leaky one at the end - I gave my voucher and ended up with 800 points for the 4 shampoos put through PLUS 4 teddy vouchers and I only spent just over a tenner!!! Plus I still have the original 200 points on my card from when I bought the leaky shampoo!
Was very chuffed!!! ;DTotal for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide

That's brilliant, and hopefully you'll get some goodies from T&G too.0 -
Thanks for the advice about advantage points.
I'm probably more hesitant than normal as I'm sure my advantage card is jinxed regarding advantage points - I seem to do nothing but go back to the till to ask for points to be put on manually - I wouldn't mind but the coupons related to different products.
I've got to pick up my photographs on Friday which I'm paying for with advantage points (hmm where did I get all those points from???) so I may try then. Alternatively, may try the smaller boots closer to home (if they have it) as I don't shop there as often and they may not recognise me as the one who is always querying her advantage points.
Thanks again0 -
That's interesting coz I have been in 4 stores where they are selling T&G products for half price £2.24 per item to be precise (some are priced up £2.24 others are priced £4.49 but scan at £2.24)
In Liv St. store the 2x£4.99(premium prices in this store) gave 200 points automatically and none on the item at £2.49 control-it hair gel
I think if full priced, you get 200 points automatically (even though voucher says 250) and if £3.00 or less, you get 0 or 200 points automatically but staff add on 250 on a 3for2 if they don't go on (pushing it if buying 1x£2.24 product!)
I think my best buy was 3for2 no kinks balm normally £6.99 each so £21 worth but got 3 for £6 and 600 points automatically plus one soft toy token!0 -
