Probably not.
Limewire isn't ilegal though, its just that some (most) of the items sent via it infringe copyright.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
If it has no copyright then yes ...If it does then no...0

Effectively everything has copyright. I could write a song in my head that no one will ever hear and it still has copyright. It's automatic, you don't have to register or anything (although if you do it makes your life easier trying to protect your work). It's more a question of whether the copyright holder gives permission for their work to be freely distributed or whether they want you to pay for it. In the case of Limewire it's highly likely that most of the stuff available will be illegal.0 -
This should clarify things:

why is it any more illeagal than, say copying an LP to a tape,(or CD Burning) or recording a TV prog to Video tape (or DVD) and watching it more than once?0

No its not illegal to download from Limewire.
Limewire itself is legal because it doesnt actually allow the user to burn onto a disc via its programme, it is like a library where you download the songs to listen to them from your computer but you cant copy them within Limewire programme.0 -
This thread needs moving now as it got onto more of a discussion.
