Think it's definite - it says sold STC on the site and there was so much interest the day we went - 4 more appointments at 15 minute intervals after ours.
Guess it just wasn't meant to be.
I'm prepared to price mine to sell if there's something I'm really deseperate to get - I'm quite philosophical about it really - if I really want something, £10k less or so seems a small price to pay.
Nothing new online tonight that takes my fancy. I guess if I sell, I'll end up in rented for 6 months.

Estate agent #1 came round tonight and #2 is coming tomorrow. The value of my house is about what I'd thought (feared!) but it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay so I can live with that. I'm glad the agent didn't give me a load of bull - would rather be realistic.
Mr C and I will be able to chew it over this weekend then we'll decide what to do.
Oh this is all so hard!!!!

I know how tough it is. We rented for a while after selling- it really took the pressure off. I don't know how people cope with buying and selling on the same day!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

That's interesting - I'm thinking that's the way to go, but wasn't sure have practical it is, moving twice etc etc. I just don't want to end up renting for more than 6 months though. However, taking the pressure off has to be a good thing!

Estate agent #2 came round last night after work. Said the same as #1. Now we have to make a decision - market or wait. really at a complete loss as to what to do for the best.
Having as relaxing 'duvet' weekend - weather is rubbish and work has been crazy the last few weeks so some much needed r&r. And the house is still tidy from #1&2 so no guilt feelings at all. Perfect.
An afternoon of Tour de France.
Have a good one folks!

Hi Poppy, just stopping by to say hi and wish you well with your house plans, sounds like you and Mr C are going great guns
Re the temporarily renting and you wondering how practical it was to 'move twice'. I did this last time I moved (already had somewhere to go, was just waiting for the build to be completed) Anyway, the moving twice worked like a dream to honest and I would definately do it again. When I left place one all the stuff was put into a container which was inside the lorry, the container was then sealed up and and never opened again until it came out again when it was delivered some months later at place two. I liked this idea as it meant reduced possibility of damage in storage.
When it came time to move to place two the removal company even stopped off at my temporary place to collect my bits and pieces on the way. I used Pickfords for everything (after lots of shopping around) and they were fantastic at every stage and costs considerably lower than I'd planned for. As I say, I'd definatley do it again. I know my situation was different in terms of already having the new place but I'd still recommend it and as I say do it again even if I didn't have the new place planned.
Regards

Still umming and ahhhing a bit - have not got back to estate agents yet, but think I'm going to try the market.
Found another house which is worth a look too so we'll see.
Other than that only a few days to go before the summer holidays - just as well, because won't manage to stay awake much longer.
Once that starts I'll feel more like focussing on the house and all things moneysaving.
This year's ISA is filling up nicely and then I'll be trying to find some other savings account which is worth doing.
Also trying to lose 4 kilos before I go on holiday. Only seem to be eating leaves which is tedious. Will probably turn into a giraffe soon.

Last day at work today before the break - well, I say last day, but I think I'll be in a fair bit next week as am soooo behind!
As soon as I get a minute I'm going to make a decision about which estate agent to go with (I think it will be #1 as he has followed up the visit which #2 didn't and the fees are the same).
Then I'll have to tidy up again. Boo hiss. How do people keep their houses looking immaculate. I just CAN'T! Then I'm going into serious moneysaving mode. The more money I can save the less mortgage I'll have to get!
