Kimberley - we have a condenser box for our vent TD as DH wont let me have a hole made through the garage door. Its ok, a bit of a pain. It has two buckets inside fiull of water so after every use of the TD we have to refreeze them. In our old house, before the condensing blocks, stuff used to rust in the garage, thatr doesnt happen any more so I guess it works. And certainly you don't see any steamy air or anything. When my TD dies though I will either get a condenser one or convince DH that we should just vent it outside.

What is the freeze part? I mean what do you freeze? Sorry it's late and i'm sounding dumb here0 -
Kimberley, well the thing I have is a sort of box that fits two smaller boxes each of which holds about a litre of water. You freeze them, bung them in the bigger box and attach the lid, onot which goes the hose of the TD. The hot wet air coming out of the TD condenses over the ice in the blocks that were frozen so the water is drawn out of the air this way. Like pigpen says they aren't perfect. I dont know what the alternatives are. I do know in an old house I used to have to pull the TD out into the middle of the kitchen and hang the hose out of the window.
DH is at pub, it is tipping down outside, he will be like a drowned rat when he gets in.
I am off to bed, have to be awake and alert tomorrow, am going into DS school tomorrow to hep them make pancakes  for Pancake Day. Clearly the teacher has never seen my pancakes :rotfl: . DS is very excited though, says he is going to call me Mrs Mummy :rotfl: I can;t wait to see the inner workings of the classroom as DS tells me NOTHINGJan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

I've just google it and there is one you fill with water then empty after, i wonder if they are better? I may get one only £14.99 or so pounds, just to try it out and see if it works better then your one.0 -

Pigpen - thanks for stepping in, lost without this thread now
Lilme - hope you sort out a timetable that works and good luck with the studying
LJD - would love to know who you evolved into
Frankie hope you had good time, I always envy people who hol at this time if year
Lemon tree and anyone else- welcome
likklegibbon - sounds like your new windows/doors will be lovely and thanx for remembering about DD. We are gettting on better but mainly due to me shouting less, I dont think her behaviour has changed yet! Sat morning went in to ask her to get ready to go to town to find puddles of different coloured poster paint all over her floor and her sat in the middle spreading it everywhere with her hands. I managed to bite my tongue and said oh I can see you're painting, I'll leave you to it while I go up town !!!! OMG poor you about the lintels, dont need stuff like that to happen.
Jill - thanks for the tip about having another window open for replies - obvious really - DOH!
mum of just two - I think you've done a weeks worth in a day there
AnW'smum - nice to see you around hope you got internet sorted
michelle - glad to hear you stuck to your guns at work, I had a bit of an incident at work today but did exactly that and told my boss what I thought of the persons concerned. And your list is still too long
Shell - hope your daughters ok
poohbear - love the bit about your no ironing orders :T
Mudbath - glad you sorted your daughters friend, I'd have been mad
pigpen - pancakes! my DD HAS to have them EVERY weekend but usually I refuse to make them and OH does it
ANYONE heard from rach - I thought she didnt go away on honeymoon until about March
Fallen angel - I beat you, I'm putting on a second coat of paint in the dining room - first coat was 6 years ago :rotfl:
DONE IT, I'm up to date and I bet you lot wish I wasnt after this mamoth post.
Also managed to 2nd coat another wall and a half in the dining room so only 1 wall and skirting left to do, then I suppose I better 2nd coat the living room which has probably been waiting 4 years for it. Still it'll probably take another 2 years to get round to it
Lunches for tomorrow then bed me thinks
Night all
PS forgot to say I'm waiting for my first ever LUSH order (grab bags so dont have a clue what i'll get but all excited now)Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
