I have done exactly the same thing, work has been awful so I shopped. on line, with my credit card, and in normal shops too.
I looked at my bank balance and was all smug cos I had money in there, ha don't think so since I obviously have to pay off credit card ( I bought pet fish, hamster toys, couple of books, DVD, normal crap)
ho hum
Good luck hon!

i think it is a slow but sure process (2 steps forward, 1 back etc).
i have stopped using cashback creditcard as as karmacat says it is no good if you are spending way more than the cashback itself....
i also agree about the motivation thing - mine is the MFi3 challenge. so everytime i go to buy something i rarely do (unless i really need it) as i'd rather be mortgage free quicker. but i don't know what i'll do once i've paid the mortgage off (will be 5-8 years).
also, for example, i was in the tk maxx sale the other day and i picked loads up cause it was cheap. then i stopped and looked at everything and just bought a bag for £2, which i needed as my bag is broken.
can't say i'm always that good though, but i now seem to find it easier and easier.0 -

Hi Carrottop,
I got them from Boundary Mill where I work. They aren't doing the tarts so cheap anymore, but are selling the Xmas ones like Cinnamon for 49p. Not keen on the spicey smells though.
I can get the small jars for £5.19 though, the 3.7 oz ones in most flavours. :j0 -
I always used to spend on little bits, about £600 a month, and I didn't have any problem with my debts in that they just stayed stationary from where they reached after I finished uni. I'm now trying to throw that £600 a month at paying them off instead, and some of us area trying to live ebay nautral this year, to clear the clutter and stop spending what we don't have/ don't want to spend. If you're interested elantan any support or new members to the challenge are welcome! Not really a necissary challenge but fun nonetheless, and excellent for clearing out those daft purchases you used once (bubble machine anyone?!)
