sea you are so right ...i'm sure when you become df though you will be more responsible than me ...but we are constantly bombarded with buy this buy that ...your life will mean something if you have a b or c or even your nothing without abor c ...usually i am good at not sucumbing to temptation i think i just had a momentry lapse of reason or something ...but i dont want it to happen again ...i will deff be having a treat add on to my budget now i think it might help and might reduce my feelings of guilt at spending ...maybe it's cause i went so long without being able to spend any money on anything that i feel so guilty ...i have the £50 i will pay it i just wish i hadnt spent it on candles ...it feels so frustrating

I must be very deprived - I've never even heard of Yankee Candles! My level of cuts recently has been to buy 4 bars of Co-op soap for 99p for my son to use in the shower - instead of the usual natural-handmade-aromatherapy-type bar at £1.99 a shot ( and which dissolves in a couple of weeks).
Just posted to let you know that, yes, there are people out here reading ...... and taking it all in. Thanks!

Yankee Candles are fabulous but rather expensive candles from America

QVC sell them regularly - they are VERY good at making you want them!

I work at Boundary Mill in Lancashire .People come from Scotland, Wales etc to purchase stuff as it's a lot cheaper for candles, Dorma Bedding, Christy Towels, Denby crockery etc.

You can mug me anytime , but please take me somewhere nice. :p

I am going to start selling some Yankee Candles on my website soon if anyone wants to pm me for details.
I also will be getting Colony and Colonial candles.

I thought it would either be Boundary Mill or Botany Bay Binnie ;)
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Spooky! I was so close to buying some Yankee Candles today in Dobbies but realised that I only have £8 till friday (in budget anyway) and I've got a parcel to post and going out for coffee one day and if I want my bedroom to smell of fresh laundry I can just dry the washing in there! DS wanted some kind of vanilla muffin type candle but loved the xmas ones too.

Enough of me on candles - you are DF and have no urgent money worries so I think you should allow yourself some treat money each month.

Binnie - I want your job!

Sorry back on the candles...not sure where you are in Scotland but last time I was in Mackinnon Mills in Coatbridge they were much cheaper than elsewhere!

I'd never heard of them either, we get ours through Something for the Wickend (they are on quidco).
