El!!!! Well, I'm glad your angel came through for you! What you're going to write on the envelope (if you keep the card) sounds good - but its no good keeping it cos its a cashback card if having it means you spend extra - the cashback's not worth it then!
I do think the suggestion of a treats budget is important; you said somewhere up the thread that you can have whatever you want - you can't, you know, as I understand it you still have to do overtime to pay for a holiday - think of all the hours of overtime you have to work to pay off those candles, are they really worth it? That £50 would have paid for, say, one of the optional trips out from the hotel when you were there.
I've been sitting here scratching my head thinking how I can understand what you're going through, cos I don't really get attracted to own *things* in that way at all.... and I realised what it was - it was what I was actually doing at the time, playing a computer game! I didn't even realise what I was doing, exactly like you said. And I think the only thing you can do, in that situation, is (a) stop as soon as you realise, and (b) put temptation completely out of reach. Its also that way for me with cakes and chocolate - if I have it in the house, I'll eat it, all of it (except the 74% dark chocolate, that doesn't encourage bingeing, for some reason. Computer games don't cost money but they do mean, for instance, that I'm not doing bingo bonusing, or surveys.... and cakes and whatnot can start to cost quite a bit when they're shop bought... anyway...) putting it outof reach - might mean giving it to your trusted friend. Or it might mean closing it down. It has to be what's right for you, and something you can live with.
This is a bit rambly, and definitely long, sorry... just wanted to try to think it all through. I hope you find a solution that works for you.

weird or what! at least they were at a cheap price up here then, spending the money to go to Lancashire would not have been very cost effective! They are much cheaper in there than all the dept stores, Dobbies etc. maybe that's an idea for a business...Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Give that angel of yours the card, and ask her to keep it safe.
You know it is there for real emergencies, and you won't dare to ask for it just to spend on "stuff"!!

the only problem with that is sending it to england not safe and hard to get if i need it in an emergency ...other wise i would do it in a heart beat ...how are you hypno?0

Send it recorded delivery. If you have a real emergency what is it going to be........
most things can be paid for over the phone - so in a real real real emergency can you not get :A to pay for it for you over the phone.
Alternatively, it will take 24 hours special delivery cost £4.95 and you will have the card back by 12the next day.........for a real emergency that should be fine. For a shopping emergency it would be enough to stop you spending unnecessarily.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. So wrap it in cling film, in a big tub of water in the freezer. You can defrost it if you have an emergencyIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
