    Muffin - It does, I've just tested it for you too. It's not loud, but, so long as you don't have any background noise and the phone isn't too far away, (mines about 1ft from my desk chair) then it will be fine. Has a delay on it, am not sure if thats the phone or my line though.

    Anyone that has tested it, is the quality for regular calls good?

    I bought a pair of binatone digital cordless at Argos for £29.99. They have caller display and you can call from one handset to the other. Also you can send text messages on them (just lately introduced by Bt) The most imprtant feature for me is that they have a handfree speaker, which isn't bad either.

    Kelly & Heather - The call quality is good with the exception of a delay for some reason, but, it doesn't have an answer machine.

    I have just put my binatone to rest (polite way of saying that I had enough and killed it in a fit of frustration), but, it was probably an inferior quality to yours cos mine didn't do all of that, you couldn't even hear the caller even when it was on speaker phone.

    One thing, does it work ok plugged into a ADSL microfilter?

    Got mine a week or so ago and it works fine with Microfilter, the only thing i find is that the Base unit does not have a ringer only the handset. Which can be a pain if you leave the handset in another room.
