What happen to "Usually shipped in 24 hours"
I have ordered other stuff from Amazon before with Free Supersaver delivery and unfortunately I received the item only after a week of ordering. For next day despatch, we will have to pay extra !0 -

We never even plugged them as they looked and felt VERY cheap and nasty and the build quality was shocking.
I haven't seen this particular model 'in the flesh' but if it is anything like the Onis then I wouldn't even want it for free!
I bought the Onis 300 Vox from Argos too. What a heap of junk! The menu system is incredible slow to respond and operation is not at all intuitive. Also, the keypad operation is intermittent often requiring several key presses to actuate . A colleague has also had exactly the same problems, so mine was not just an isolated case.
I hope this 5111 is better that the Onis otherwise I wouldn't bother.
My Father has a cheap Binatone which is much better than my Philips0 -

My previous phones were the Onis Vox and I had them 7 years. They still just about work, but there have been problems (generally with the buttons not working). So far the 5111s I bought have been fine, and the menus are much easier to navigate.0 -

Philips DECT phones have a poor reputation of interfering with Freeview TV receivers and video extenders.
I would avoid all Philips DECT products.0 -

does this phone have a loud speaker/hands-free speaker? for those that have this phone - is there any hissing/crackling when using the phone? does it have a good range? lastly, is it light-weight, cheap & plasticky? or is it fairly solid?
sorry about all the question

Muffinhead, they are digital so NO crackles, I think you are remembering the old analogue cordless ones, there is no comparison Dect phones are the same quality as fixed ones. All tend to be light- weight and have good range, all round our garden and into the streeterr............0
