Grab bag offer at Lush!!!!

Well i am really upset. Have orderd big bag and DHL tried delivering it while i was at work yesterday morning. Have rang them asking for redelivery and to confirm the time and date and was told they can do it today but at the same time as the guy does same route every day. ??? What?
When asked if they can then deliver to my work, was told they don't cover that area although it's only 15 minutes from my home. They offered to leave it in the garden but i have to take full responsibility as it wont get singed. And what if someone sees it and knicks it or delivery guy keeps it to himself but says he delivered it?
O and was offered to drive to their depot which is an hour away from me which i refused as i don't see why i should spend money on the fuel when i paid for p&p already!
Apparently after 7 days if not delivered, it goes back to sender. Will see, don't know what to do.

Sorry, rant over. Just really mad at DHL. And at delay of using gorgeous Lush products.

ok I ordered 2 large grab bags & this is what I got:

4 x stocking fellas (contains 80g Happy soap & 100g happy hippy shower gel)
2 x glamour puss ( contains 100g ruby red slippers bubble bar slice, 95g tisty tosty bath ballistic, 10g gorgeous moisturiser, 10g potion solid perfume & 80g cocktail soap)
2 x supersize lush puds (wow they smell fab)
2 x snow fairy
4 x snow cakes
2 x bob soap (theres 2 in each bag though)
2 x greenwash soap
2 x jungle jelly
2 x champagne snow showers
2 x gold frankincense and beer
2 x christmas party
4 x twinkle
4 x christmas kisses
4 x silver cloud
2 x jingle spells
2 x candy cane

Soooo happy it finally arrived. Was supposed to be some for hubby for yesterday but never mind we can make the most of having them now
Children had great fun delving into the box & i even managed to limit the popcorn spread (don't ask how because I have 4 children & don't know lol)

Any chance of a neighbour being able to take it in? I've had that problem with DHL before as they always come ont he school run. Eventually the driver twigged & did a few houses before mine even though he didn't vary his route much.

Can you ask a neighbour to take it for you? Most couriers operate like this to be fair so its not DHL's or Lush's fault. The driver has a set route to follow in order to complete all his deliveries for the day and they wont vary it otherwise x amount of deliveries/collections wont get done. Its not a premium service so there is no contract to deliver within a set time frame. If your work address falls into another area, they are correct in not being able to deliver there as it may be covered by another DHL franchise etc.

As for collecting, if no neighbour this may be the only option - regardless of paying P&P it is not DHL's fault you cannot be in to accept delivery.

Thanks Helen, but the house on the right is empty and the one on the left, well they are out working all day as well.
Lush already took the money yesterday. Will try ringing Lush and see if they can do something as someone here mentioned that theirs was delivered by Royal Mail with whom I never have any problems.

I understand but why can't you choose your own delivery time?
I was told it would be the same time as yesterday, which was about 11am. My husband is at home Friday afternoons after 1pm and when i asked if they could deliver then, was told no as they have set route. :rolleyes:
Sorry all for being off but i have never, ever had any problems with anyone delivering anything and DHL are being a real pain.

Just had mine delivered, was expecting a bigger box, so am hoping everything is in it.

Dying to get in and see what goodies ive got, but am at work, so don't think my colleagues would appreciate me stinking the office out :rotfl:

Mine just arrived too! Identical contents. I cant believe the amount we've got and yes large pud is broken up but I wouldn't dream of complaining, it will be used anyway. The shell is equivalent to 3 ballistics so according to my reckoning we've got 31 items for £20! Many thanks OP!
