Good for you... making a complaint for wasting your time makes sense, it's rediculous that they couldn't send us a quick email to let us know.

well after 27 minutes of being on hold and transferred, mines not coming.
Out of stock at suppliers, nothing they can do, sent a letter on the 15th (not got it) I asked to be put onto a supervisor, who basically said delivery date is an estimation, that the order is not accepted until its despatched hence why not on order page anymore as they just delete them. They dont care, cant offer any reason as to why they could not phone or email rather than write, I wont be using them again, very poor customer service.

I think I'll wait until after 6pm tomorrow when it's supposed to arrive and then complain that I stayed in especially, why didn't they e-mail me to let me know they were out of stock, etc, etc. Not good service at all!

I ordered at 23:30 and just called because my order is arriving tomorrow and was told the same. Can I ask for other goods of equal value?

surely that's not fair though,is it?when we booked online it was in stock so I wonder what happened?

a contract exists here because we offered, paid and they accepted. However...would a Court think we were entitled to a bench worth say £100 if we only paid a tenner? I think a Court would just give us a small discount or our money back because although we have a contract we might have known something was amiss...

I'll try and see what I can wrangle out of them (say enough money to buy a good bench at John Lewis?!) but I suspect we will get no-where.

This discussion board will be a good read though!

I've not recieved my two benchs yet, but the £16 was taken from my credit card.

When I check online, it does show my order in previous orders with a delivery of 19/07/05, so there's hope yet.

Im sorry to hear of peoples problems getting their benches, i feel quite guilty now that ive posted this thread. I do know there are some of us who got our benches though, its a shame you all didnt.
I hope you get things sorted out.
