I haven't seen a post by triage for ages. She set up the shabby chic thread on MSE, has anyone heard anything of her?

Does anyone know where I can buy those lovely decorative glass jars? The kind you put cotton wool, soap etc in. I want them as a Xmas present though, so ideally not too expensive (£15 max)?

TK Maxx is always good for these items and from £2.99 each are a bargain!

:j £2 coin club = now in a sealed tin so I'm not sure
  • I love this thread - in Spring we hope to buy (FTB) and then I will have my Dream Kitchen - in the interim maybe I will scrapbook ideas and piccies and glean advice from this thread. For me a kitchen has to be cosy, friendly, full of life and good food - have an ultra-modern one in our current rented flat and although it's nice, it doesn't say much about us x

Just want to boast... I have finally tracked down a little bureau :j :j
OK, it did cost £30 :o and my long-suffering Dad is having to tighten up a few joints, but I can't wait to rev up the sander & dig out the F&B!

It has a small dropleaf flap, with pigeon holes inside and a wide drawer underneath, then shelves below. Can't find a comparable photo, butwill try to do before/ after shots.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
