  • Hi Rosieben

Thank you for doing the link for me - I also own the other 2 books by the same author one is easter projects and the other christmas projects, they all have some really great things in.

Im just collecting some ideas together for my little girls room, all her furniture is white wood with pine detaling (from Argos/IKEA) and we stock a gorgeous fabric in my shop which is apple green with big pink cabbage roses on it so I think thats the starting point for the scheme. Although she's only little, I didn't want to decorate her room in a traditionally childish way, i.e teddy bear wallpaper etc.

Would love to hear of anyone elses plans

I was thinking that I would paint some of my cupboard things and was thinking of using wallpaper on the shelves so that when I put things on it such as books I don't mark the shelves.

Anyone think that would look ok.

    Yours

  • ebaybaby - I have severe bedroom envy!!!
Just given birth to my 4th boy so i am robbed of the opportunity to have a girly room!!!

we have been renovating our home and my style is definately country / shabby chic..I am 80% happy with my kitchen at the mo..(it was fitted 18months ago - but I cant get the finishing touches quite right). I have a lot of white walls and pastel/gingham etc accessories - yes 4 boys and white walls but we have found for some reason walls have stayed cleaner than when they were painted a colour!! I find biggest problem is OH and is desire for a clutter free zone - I try and explain that you need a bit of clutter for a home to look homely...then I sneak extra bits in!!!

I shall take some pics when I get a chance I am loving looking at all your homes.
  • Oh thank you all of you!!!
It looks weird really, looking at my house on here! I suppose I do take it for granted as we all do.
My girls are 11 & 7, Though we live in a 3 bed house the box room is small, so the girls share. We have made the box room into an office come homework room, so there is somewhere my eldest can escape to!

Some of you have said about finding the "finishing touches", well I cant recommend TKMAXX enough. Before I go shopping for something in particular this is always my first stop.
I love flea markets, car boots etc. And sign up to Laura Ashley and Cath Kidston for the first to know when the sales are going to be.
