    Hi Bibbly

Yes it's very similar to the one you bought, mine has glass on the side's as well, and wall paper on the back.
Now, shall I brave the sleet and go and uncover it in the shed to take photies?

I haven't been very well recently as my RA is playing up, so DH has just done an amazingly thorough job in sanding every scrap of varnish off the second chair from the bedroom. He said it was because he was fed up of having it in the way, waiting in the kitchen :o .
I hope he will paint it too :D I mean :o ... so I can just make the covers.

My dad has done an amazing job making me an Ercol-inspired plate rack for the kitchen :j :j :j because I have not been able to track one down round here. maybe DH will paint that too :p

I want to share some photos of my treasures, which have really helped me keep going over the past few weeks.
I know that somebody has posted a detailed explanation of how to post photos (eg flickr), but I can't find it, does anyone know the post number? TYIA

Thanks Hadley I thought maybe one would have stood out from the rest, like maybe her first one or maybe she just got better and better.

I wish they'd show it too.

Haribo, I have just been browsing your photo's of your kitchen - only got through the first three..lol. I was just wondering where did you get your book "The Victorian Housewifes Friend"? I just love all these sort of books, anything do with Victorian or PreWar times I am a complete sucker for :)

I also love the way you have done your larder cupboard too :D I do hope you don't mind but when I do up my kitchen, when it is eventually refitted this year, but I would really like to use your kitchen photos as a guide. :D I am hoping to have a cream/pink and chrome kitchen - well that is the plan anyway. :D

Take whatever inspiration you like. :D And thanks. :A Oh, and I found you The Victorian Housewife's friend. ;)

Bibbly, your dresser looks lovely, as does your cabinet Wizz.

And I love that little cupboard Daisy.
  • We nipped into Wigan today (we live so close, but have never been) and got a few bits.
Got a teeeny tiny little set of drawers that will be handy for loose change etc etc, it just needs sanding and painting up a bit.
Oh and I nipped into Primark to get some cheapo candles for the bathroom and came out with a lovely red polka dot fleecy throw/blanket for the bargain price of £4 and a pink polka dot shower curtain for the same price. I love the 1950's retro side of the shabby chic look.
I am currently on ebay looking for old 50's magazines.
Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.
