well my mum has very kindly bought me two dining chairs for the grand total of £4.. £2 each how good is that
they are very dark at the minute but have lovely straight backs and little arms with lovely green tapestry seat pads,
im going to paint them though as they are to dark.. but i think they are veneer and not wood.. what should i do with them.. just give them a quick sand as a key and then emulsion and then stick satin wood on ??
what would you do..
im thinking of doing them a creamy greeny colour0 -
Sounds great! Please post pics when you are done! Sand and prime before putting satinwood on as they could be in for a bit of abuse being chairs.0

Charley either emulsion or satinwood, the two don't mix, I'd do a sanding and I think I'd use satinwood as they will be handled a lot.
Good luck and have fun.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

I assume she is using emulsion instead of undercoat. That is ok as long as the satinwood is water based....quite a few are.
I advise keeping away from one of the oil based one coat satinwoods as they are generally too thick to give a good appearance......well in my experience anywayWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -

But you can't use water-based or acryllic paints over oil-based paints it just doesn't work.0 -
