Elaine, those rose plates are gorgeous, and love the bench!!

I hit the carboot this morning, didn't get much but did get these two plates and the mug for £1 the lot.

Then I popped to Dunelm and found these oven gloves and tea towels to match my new kitchen.

And then this fabric was £1.99 a metre in the fabric shop across the road (if anyone knows S!!!!horpe, it's part of Roseby's, next to the Range!) so I boguht half a metre of these three.

Pretty pleased for a morning's work!

Love the jug Bibbitybob, and the fabric is pretty. What are you going to use it for?

    Remember this ....

I'd love to see someone DO something with it! I reckon that went for a really cheap price ... I had expected it to fetch more.

Bibbly I keep doing the same with your username!

I'm having a bit of a patchwork obsession at the moment, I thought it would be perfect for that. I made myself a business card holder last week, and just finished some bunting too.

    That bunting is gorgeous!

Did you sew different fabric strips together to form the triangles?

Have you anymore close up pics of it? :D

Wonderful buys....love the pink plates. Believe the colmans stand is actually a tea pot stand. The Colmans Mustard shop in Norwich used to sell lots of advertising bits like that. When I was a student in the late 70s in Norwich I had quite a few of the old advertising posters they did

They're lovely. I am SO desperate for a sewing machine.

I have NEVER SEWED ANYTHING in my LIFE before (truly, and I'm quite old lol), but at the weekend I had a practise and hand sewed these (oh, I have cross stitched btw!)

The problem was that the finish is really rough, after I had turned them back the right way to stuff them iyswim. Any tips?

So any of you clever lot can tell me how to get round that? Also what do you use to stuff things like this? (I'm not telling you what I used lolol!!)
