Viv: your dresser looks fantastic. Well done! What a lovely choice of colour. I've tried to leave a comment on your blog, but not sure it registered - didn't when I checked, but maybe it takes time to appear.

    Hi everyone

Soo excited as I picked up my ebay dresser (38pounds) this evening and have spent the last 2 hours rearranging all the cupboards and filling my dresser with my treasure.

Whilst in the depth of one of those awkward corner cupboards that you can't get to so you keep tat in it, I was going through some of OH's tat that his mother had [strike]palmed off[/strike] given to him when he left home (some of it still wrapped in newspaper) and I found this

A real life brand new Le Crueset!!!!!! I was soo excited

The dresser is much nicer than I thought, really small and compact just right for my miniscule kitchen. It holds loads too.:j:j

PS Did I mention how excited I am?????:o:o:p

    Lindens the dresser looks fab!

Ellidee, he just points out how much I'm spending on paint, etc, so don't think the money saving thing would wash with him lol. Don't think he really minds tho', its just that we only have a smallish house and it's already full so he just keeps saying we've got no room for anything else, which is true really.:D

I've been lazying about today searching ebay and here's another dresser http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Stunning-Painted-Cream-Oak-Dresser_W0QQitemZ150228249745QQihZ005QQcategoryZ101429QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

This is absolutely gorgeous and not a million miles from me. How on earth can people sell them so cheaply, when I think of the hours I'm putting in painting I'd want more than £4.99:confused:

The paint used for my dresser was Craig and Rose 1829 range colour - tapestry green. I'm delighted with it. Its in my conservatory , where we have put the diningroom table. [we turned the diningroom into an office like space]

ooh val thats one of the shelf colours in my little bookcase :D
