Shabby Chic Thread?

Last weekend I subscribed to Country Living and there was an offer for some fairtrade chocolate as a gift for subscribing. I thought that would be a nice bonus but assumed the bars would be small. Just now there was a knock on the door and a parcel was delivered; inside was the chocolate……but so much of it…….I’m gobsmacked. I've photographed it as I am so surprised ....its here
Do you need any help with that;)0 -
Am i allowed to give you their name on here? i dont want to get in trouble or anything! They were delivered really quick and quite cheap too!
You could pm me, if you don't mind?

I have been reading and thoroughly enjoying this thread and have really enjoyed the photo`s. I bought these yesterday from my local charity shop.So I am off to a fairly good start with my shabby [strike]chic[/strike] kitchen.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Hi everyone, have been browsing the thread and am green with envy at all your lovely homes. I really love the shabby chic look but unfortunately my home is just shabby! I have never really liked this house:o somehow no matter what I do to it it never feels like home - I always much prefer being in other peoples houses, is that weird or what!! My house is just so full of mess and rubbish and everything strewn everywhere that I never know where to start and any nice pieces I do have just get lost amongst the general chaos.
I love old houses but ours is a 70s box. We extended it at the back and it has made parts of the house very dark, need the lights on in the kitchen nearly all the time, not good if your mood is a bit dark anyway!
Any ideas on how I can get to love my home?
Hi Cat
If like me it all seems a little daunting to start off, just start small..... just doing a little corner here and there really helps. As someone else has said have a declutter, I did a bit of this earlier in the week and was so amazed at how much stuff I had been hoarding.... Concentrate on one room at a time and get that how you want it... but above all be BRUTAL just because your mum, brother, sister etc has given you something if you don't like it get rid!
Think about what you like about other peoples houses and use their ideas....
Make notes and lists to help you get everything in order.
Hope this helps x0 -
