    Morning everybody :hello:

Glad to hear you're on the mend HariboJunkie :j ... beaming you some spare gin as we speak ... I really ought to use it all up before Lent anyway ;)

Hope you're feeling better soon Snowy :naughty::D

I feel strangely motivated to do some housework today (sending smelling salts to all those who just fainted with shock :D) so am just going to get on with it before the motivation wears off :o

    Love Rzl xx

I'm about to go out with the dogs but thought I'd post in here as well as the grocery challenge about the Lidl liquid washing detergent. I bought it yesterday - the extra powerful concentrated green one in see-through bottle. Washed my white bedding with it and it is the best I've used!! Really really white. It smells of something - cough medicine?? Not sure what but it isn't unpleasant. Anyone else tried it?

  • Hello again
I haven't been around for a while because we have had computer problems and just been very busy.
Life is going on as normal and we are all well. I'm going to the shops this afternoon and then doing some cooking for lunch tommorrow because we are having some frinds from church back in the afternoon.
    I hope everyone is ok.

Good Afternoon Everyone. Been missing all week as have been staying with my brother trying to get everyting sorted and all the arrangements made for Mum's funeral on Thursday. Just wanted to thank you all for your kind messages of support - you're a really great bunch of people, you know!
Know that for Mum this is the best outcome, but wasn't quite prepared for how devastated I'd feel.
Glad to be back home for a few days, trying to get some sense of normality again. Need to do lots of reading to catch up on all you've been up to now!

Well I'm ready for bed, lol. Went to see DD & family, she wanted a cottage pie rather than flowers, so thats what we took. We didn't stay long, we took GDS to the aquatic shop to buy some more fish, then he came home with us. We played in the garden for about an hour (I must be mad, it was bloody freezing) I finally tempted him in by suggesting we made biscuits. I'm not sure what sort we made, they started out as Twinks hobnobs, but morphed along the way as DGS kept wanting to add more 'stuff'. We took him home at 4:30 with a tin of home made biccies & now i'm knackered & fit for nothing but bed!

Well so much for babysitting today. DS and DIL decided tomorrow would be better:rolleyes: Why, oh why, did I open my mouth to say " I'd prefer today" only to hear "that's fine" come out:o

((((hugs)))) to beemuzed, it must be some relief that all the arrangements are now in place. Enjoy being home.

Haribo/Pink hope you haven't gone too mad at Aldi:D Wow, if we want to learn how to live the high life we'll know where [STRIKE]not [/STRIKE] to ask for advice:rotfl: :rotfl: At least you haven't said you'll do Lidl too;) And of course you must use the dishcloth! Just don't get it dirty:p

    Off for a look round.

Glad to say I have recovered from grumpy old woman mode;) . Have taken DS swimming, why is it always so freezing when you get out?

Washing has mainly dried on the line and is now airing. Can't remember the last time I used my tumble dryer, am thinking of de-fluffing it and selling it.

Managed to get 2 hours sleep. Must say all I really want to do at the moment is knit. Am really enjoying it although I'm not very fast. Must get my backside in gear. Off to make biscuits. Dinner will be something creative with pasta!

BEEMUZED hugs to you at this difficult time.

Have a good night all, will probably have a sneaky peek when I'm at work although I can't post from there.

    evening all,

hope you have all had good days, went to pick up my glasses, (I do NOT look like Ronnie Corbett :D ), walked outside with them and they were all blured around the outside, went back in and the girl had a look at them and they have squashed the lenses in too much  , anyway they have had to send them off again to be sorted, which will take another two weeks  , i have had nothing but trouble with them, and will never use them again.

Hope you are all having good evenings xx

Had a scattering of snow but DH drove me to Lidl and had a shock at the size of the bill till I realised we had two trolleys and DH had added a lot of stuff.

Made spicy roasted chicken thighs with courgettes, peppers and onion for tea as DH has been nagging me to use up the two courgettes in the fridge.

Washing machine is whirring with DDs uniform so I can hang it out tomorrow.

Sunday lunch should be fun with one third of an oven tomorrow so might do salmon with potatoes and cauili cheese.

DH has just asked for mushy peas so will need to go and soak the blasted things!!!!

Might have an early night with a hot chocolate drink and a book while DH watches boxing (which I hate!)

The house two doors away from us is now sporting a "sold" sign - now if next door would only do the same we might sell ours!!

Your GD is lovely and I shudder to imagine what "Katy's" herbal business involves. Maybe she could combine it with the "uncling!"
