  • Morning :hello:

Well... Pink has her nose to the grindstone again today so I reckon she'll be too busy to post. :D She is currently making a huge brunch and getting to grips with my cooker, while OH and the girls are building snowmen in the garden. ;)
I am warm and toasty in front of the fire. :p Pink is definitely warmer when I keep her by the cooker. ;)

I am getting better and I have to say the meds they gave me are fab. Particularly when washed down with a crisp Chardonnay as prescribed by Pink. :D

OH is indimidated by all the Irish oestrogen floating around and is keeping a low profile. :rotfl:

The kids are off to a party in a bit so I said we'd take Pink out to see some sights. she has requested to go to....wait for it....Aldi!!! I'm trying to contain my excitement. :p

Not much else today but I did get a lovely present in the Penguin post today. :o Some delicious smellies and a HM dishcloth. :j Thankyou Penny....:A  (you're lovely)
(I'm getting quite a collection of OS signature makes now.) ;) (Tru and crazychik, I shall expect some cards soon, and a box of croissants from Shez, hobnobs from Twink and a laptop from Catowen) :D:p;)

    Nelski.....Any spare Gin? It's a longshot I know. :p
Churchmouse....erm, eh, ah..... You just send me a wee bit of HM bread love. :p

PS....Penny...I need you to settle an arguement... Pink say's I'm not to use the dishcloth and has hidden it. Please tell her it's for using. :D

    Haribo xxx

    Edit.... Hugs to arlybarly. xxx

Edited again to add.... There are always people worse off than ourselves and there is a regular poster in the Arms going through an awful time. If anyone wants to add give her some support the thread is here, or perhaps some of you who believe could add her to your prayers. xxx

Afternoon all, hope those with snow are keeping snug and warm.

Just made my first batch of Twinks' hobnobs and they're fab! Also decided to whizz up last night's SC creation (chicken and mushroom casserole) into chicken and mushroom soup. Yum! Was v.thick and filling. I'll be using that trick again!

Does anyone not like them? Even my cats are fans - they both (even the well behaved one) pinched one whilst I was busy with the blender! Cheeky little 8&%%£&s!

    Good afternoon all!

Off to my parents in Essex, which is great so no ccoking for the weekend! Normally have a trawl round their local 2nd hand shops but won't have time today as visiting DS's godfather and giving out belated Christmas presents (I still have about 10 to give out!)

Hope you all have good weekends and will try and see you all soon! Might be Monday xxx

    Hiya!

Hardup Hester Just had a look at your gorgeous GD on your great blog and she's gorgeous. She reminds me of my DD2 who was a 9lb chunk of a baby and has never been tiny in her life and will probably be tall like her dad(DH is 6'2').

The weather here is sunny and cold and no sign of snow (yet) so DH and DDs were quite disappointed this morning. I wasn't, as I'm off out to my friend's 40th bday party tonight, where I'll probably see some old school friends who I haven't seen for over 20 years.

DH is at my MIL's so the girl's and I are having a 'chilled out' afternoon watching tv, making things and catching up on stuff.

This morning I finally booked our (expensive) flights to Australia for July/Aug. We're going for 4 weeks where we'll be staying with my brother in Perth for most of the time but also meeting up with friends in Sydney. We're also going up North to stay at Monkey Mia where we'll be able to paddle with the wild dolphins. I went there about 18 years ago and always knew I'd return one day to show my kids. :D
This will probably be our last BIG holiday for a while as it's costing a few bob, but we planned to go out this year as I'll be 40 and DH will be 50, so it's our double celebration holiday! Just need to be frugal for the rest of the year.

I think I'll be spending some of the afternoon sorting out our finances (again).
    Have a good day!
