Morning everyone
Errr, don't mean to be cheeky but can I ask you all to whisper please? I've got a v.sore head and an empty green bottle which contained a certain red liquid yesterday.....you can guess the rest I am sure. A million thanks in advance:D
It's all nice and frosty over here in N.Ireland - no snow thankfully. I don't envy you Kyle though the sledging with the little ones would be fantastic fun (if a little noisy hehe). I wouldn't fancy that boat over to Belgium today TattyCath, even if there is the best chocolate in the world at the end of it. The kids will probably love it if it's choppy though.
My plans for today - to do some v.quiet housework, not go anywhere in that noisy car of mine:rolleyes: but in the meantime I will thank Amanda666 for her inspiring post and hop back into bed for a duvet day.
Bye all

Hello everybody,
Just got home from Mass and put the rice on. Having an eggplant thing in the slow cooker. Hope everyone is coping with the weather conditions over there. Looked awful in the news. I won't even comment how hot and humid it's been here.
I've had a decluttering sort of day seeing as now I've got heaps more room. I never realised how much room DD took up.
N9eav Happy belated birthday and happy to hear you enjoyed yourself.
Mrs Mix
Hope you all have a great Saturday and <hugs> to those feeling poorly. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Good morning everyone - very frosty and icy here - we had a scattering of snow last night and then it turned to sleet so the roads are pretty horrible.
Keep safe all you drivers!
Planning to do some washing today and might make a pot of soup. Think it's a day for snuggling with the dogs and reading (me,that is, not the dogs). Speaking of reading and dogs. I'll have go to the library and pay for a book - bad young dog took a big bite out of Ian Rankin - long story, she'd got on the settee where she is not allowed, and her ball had fallen down the back and she couldn't get to it so took it out on Ian Rankin who was by the side of the settee - oh the shame
Have a good day all

morning all
I love the weekends
, bit of a lie in this morning, its realy cold and frosty here too, but no snow
don't think we will get any now, I really wanted some, for my DD and to take little dog for a walk in it.
HM pizza for tea with g/bread and salad, I am going to have boiled eggs for brekkie, really fancy them, DD will not eat eggs though
so will give her a bacon sandwich or cereal.
Off to get m glasses today, looking forward to it, I have got some of the more trendy ones with the thicker dark frames, I thought I looked like the small one out of the two ronnies
, but OH assured me I looked good, so we will see, hopefully I wil be ok.
My lakeland vouchers have been dispatched so I hope they come this morning, then I can spend them today.
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
A belated happy birthday to N9eav.
(((hugs))) to those that need them and :j :j to those celebrating, especially hester.
It's been another "thrilling" week at school. I've been on a couple of courses and a number of people have commented to me that they don't know how the head of my school has clung onto their job, despite being appalling.
This afternoon we're going to have a rugby fest, but I'll be multi-tasking by marking some of the assessments that I carried out on Friday.
My parents went to see the England Saxons v Ireland A last night (the "B" teams in rugby!). My mum was telling me that just as the Irish national anthem started, someone with a burger and beer asked to get to his seat. She told him to be quiet and show some respect to the anthems. Needless to say, he didn't kick up a fuss. :rotfl: Her comment was that "he was old enough to know better"
.
Tomorrow we're going to DH's niece's first birthday party. DH was sent on a mission yesterday to buy her present from Argos. We were going to buy it online, but I managed to forget. As it was, we had a £10 voucher that was about to expire and Nectar points to use, so we actually managed to spend NOTHING on the present! DH was suitably impressed with my "suggestion".
Anyway, I suppose I'd better crack on and perform a snow dance. There's not a sniff of it round here (unless you count the 3 flakes yesterday...).

Yooooooooooo Hoooooooooo Haribo :hello:

Morning all
The teen trus stayed at friends houses last night and mr tru has just gone to work, I have the house to myself
We moved the food from the old little freezer to the new big one yesterday. We had a shelf running along the wall, with a gap for the old freezer at the end, so we had to empty half the shed and cut shelves shorter to fit the new one in  I was going to do it myself the other day, but the old freezer was full and I couldn't move it by myself
You should have seen the junk food that was in it - I was disgusted  All bought by mr tru. 6 boxes of Chicken lattices  and lots of other similar stuff. No wonder I fail the grocery challenges.
I have lots to do today. Does anyone else find that when other people are in the house, they can't get things done? If I'm on my own I can whip round the house and have it perfect in a couple of hours, but if another tru is here, chaos reins and nothing gets done.
We've planned the chicken shed and run but I'm worried about fireworks, one of the neighbours celebrates EVERYTHING with huge loud fireworks (I'm sure he thinks 'yay, it's wednesday, lets gets the fireworks out and celebrate') So if it'll bother the chickens - which I imagine it will - then we'll have to wait til we move. Only about four and a half years to wait then  :sad:Bulletproof0 -
morning everyone xx
weather is cold here in birmingham but not really any snow YET, just been reading about the poor motorists and other people being trapped in their cars in cumbria, i moan about the weather sometimes but thank goodness we dont get snow that bad we are trapped in brum.
anyway got to finish off the rest of the drying in the tumble dryer this morning before we go to merry hill and buy my oh a new suit to wear to his moms funeral on friday, not very pleasant i know but got to be done. we have all had to contribute quite substantially to the funeral as well as there was no insurance, its certainly made me think a lot about funeral insurance i can tell you, dont want to leave this worry to my kids or whoever.
on a brighter note as my kitchen is finished being fitted we have to now strip the walls and paint it and then i can hit ikea for accessories. not very money saving i know but now ive got room for a breadmaker ectr and somewhere to store loadsa cake tins im going to make the most of it lol.
hope you all have a good and safe day xxxxx0 -
Just read yesterday's thread and see Haribo has got out of hospital. So where's the pictures?
Take it easy or Granny will up there in a shot.
The recipe I use for Impossible Pie has 2 eggs. It's in the Recipe Index. If I could do links I would.
CM I can't believe you baked so much yesterday. I must dawdle around, I never seem to produce that much. What are you on?
Ruby DH is just being nice. You do look like the small one in the Two Ronnies. :rotfl:
I'm cutting out some material tonight. It's out of DD Dove toweling robe she never used. She got this toweling wrap you put your wet hair in so I drew a pattern from it and going to cut a few out of the robe. I'll keep a couple for myself once I sew them and give the rest to her. They look pretty simple to assemble. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Morning all!!
At my mums this weekend so no housework or anything!!!!!! Snow here - a couple of inches - don't know what the roads are like as the house is down a track, but they were bad and ungritted at 11.30 last night when I had to fetch my littlest sister who had missed the bus  Hopefully better today as I'm taking her and her boyfriend over to Sheffield for the Steelers vs Nottingham... MASSIVE rivalry and always good for a laugh!!
ExOH is doing my head in - I've found out third-hand (through a Facebook conversation he's had with someone) that the more he sees me the more he wants me back... but he hasn't said anything to me so I can't ask him about it!! I don't want to move on until I'm certain we have no chance of reconciling... I'm really confused! I miss him soooo much but then we were together since we were 18 so I don't really know if it's normal to feel like this!!!
ARGH!!!!!! Anyway, enough of a ramble, I'm off for a long soak in the bath!!
Enjoy the snow those who have got it; :grouphug: to everyone who needs one (even if it is self-inflicted :rotfl: ) and enjoy your Saturday whatever you end up doing!
