    Morning all!
Off on an ME and Fibro course today, should be fun! Hope to make some new friends who understand the condition as much as I do!
Will be out most of the day and think I might be a tad exhausted this evening, so we'll have an easy-ish dinner tonight.
Found out yesterday that my contract at work is being made permanent, so am mega chuffed. We got a bottle of champagne to celebrate but I was too tired, so perhaps today or tomorrow.
Am off to get ready now, need to be at the venue by 11:30 so had better get a shuffle on!
Hugs to those who need/want, a good friend of mine is doing something very strong and wonderful today so please keep her in your thoughts, she'll be in mine all day.

Have woken up in grumpy old woman mode:mad: . Don't want to do anything at all and have to go to work over the next two nights, don't want to do that either but I guess I will be fine when I get there. DS mentioned swimming this morning but I really don't fancy it as it's so b****y cold. Oh dear must snap out of it and stop whingeing.

On the plus side it is a beautiful day here, cold and sunny, no snow though:sad: .

Washing is on the line, DW emptied and bread proving. Am off to have a shower and try to be more civilised.

    Have a good day all

Morning all..................(((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Have not read the daily yet, will do so in a mo.

We woke up this morning to about an inch of snow, OH says it has been very cold overnight, glad we do not have to go out today.

I am planning to spend most of the day sewing, I managed to get one of the mats bias binding hemmed, so have one to do tonight, I have to cut the fabric for the back of the santa cushion, thats another job done.

Tomorrow will be bed change and laundry day.........

Liver and sausage for supper tonight and the remains of the bread and butter pudding...........

Not much to report, its very quiet here today, I guess the snow means that many of our residents will not be going out, most of them are not too steady on their feet.

AAARRRGGGHHH, I'm going to rename the lodger Katy & then I'm going to rename my blog, 'What Katy Did Next'
It's only 10:30 & so far we have had 2 crisis, one about her Herbal life business & one about her phone bill!!!
We had breakfast in the lounge as she was screaming down the phone in the kitchen, I forgot to turn the ringer off, lol. Anyway, I'm off to have a shower & then pop over to see, DGS & DGD, will take flowers for Mum & chocolate buttons for DGS, we'll offer to take him out for an hour to give Mum & Dad a break.
    Hugs Hester

  • Morning all,

redruby if your hair is short, dark and straight, you may want to rethink it with your new glasses. :p:D (Bet you do look good in your new specs)
Vicky A Ds and I will be joining in the rugby fest today. Can't wait for the game tomorrow to see what side Scotland are going to field (either the fantastic team that did so well at the RWC or the losers that let Italy score three tries in 8 minutes last year. )
arlybarly My mum has paid for both funerals (hers and my Dad's). She has also put money away for the wake after and the headstones. Talking to her last week, she was wondering whether she should buy the headstones now as the prices are going up. :rotfl: I know why she has done that though as she didn't want to leave us in a mess when they pass away. (((hugs))) to you and your DH on the loss of your MIL.
wmf Was it one of the good Ian Rankin books? I'm guessing it's a Rebus book. I love them but there are a couple where Rebus seems to spend more time drinking whisky and beer than he does solving crimes. If it was one of those ones, I wouldn't worry too much. :D
Snowy see, I'm talking very quietly. I hope the headache lifts soon but console yourself with the fact that your heart will have thanked you for some of the red vino at least. :D
natzini Congratulations on getting the permanent contract.

Had a bit of a lie in today. Feel better for it but still can't be bothered doing too much. DS is in "Kevin the Teenager" mode which doesn't bode well for the building of this blooming bed today. He will be even worse when he comes downstairs and sees the *HUGE* pile of dishes that he decided he didn't want to wash last night. :D

Won't be doing much, if/when we get the bed built. Settling down for an afternoon of Six Nations. Will def need to get WM on though for DD's uniform.

Going to go and try and book the holiday cottage now. Have a sunny/snowy (whichever you prefer) Saturday. xx

    Good morning:D

Lovely blue sky and no snow or rain, that will do for me even if it is freezing!

Aussie, fear not! I'm not turning into a domestic goddess:rotfl: Two lots of biscuits and two cakes happens at most, once a year round here! Otherwise it's only ever one batch of anything:o You still cook far more than me:p (I will be making bread in a minute;) :D )

tru, I find the same, any mice about and it's so hard to get things done. That's been the biggest adjustment with Mr CM taking early retirement, I don't do half as much as I used to. Think that's why I got lots done yesterday, he was out:rotfl: Perhaps I should find him a part-time job;)

Snowy, I'm typing this as quietly as possible, to spare your poor head. :D Hope you're feeling *less delicate* soon;)

Haribo and Pink, hope you're enjoying some *sister time*. Don't work her too hard Haribo, and hope you're feeling stronger today.

Off to babysit DGSs later, so that will be fun, if somewhat tiring. I had planned to do some gardening while it's dry, but popped my nose out of the door and beat a hasty retreat:o It really is just toooooooo cold. Must admit it could do with a tidy, but I've cleared all the bits where there are snowdrops, so at least I can see and enjoy them. :D

Having a chicken casserole from the freezer today, so I've got a bit of spare time. Wonder where i could [strike]waste[/strike] usefully spend it:D

    Enjoy your day!

    Good morning everyone

((Hugs)) to everyone who needs or wants one. Can i save one for myself ? I had a really bad night last night. I had my pre assessment for the op on my leg and i had such a shock whilst there. I am waiting for some test results to come in so 48 hours of not knowing _pale_ anything. I couldnt eat yesterday either. But on the upside DS2 and DS3 stayed at my mums. DS1 is 17 so doesnt need much looking after ;) . I was still awake at 4am. I actually had a sandwich then :o Thank heavens for Virgins On Demand TV. Think i watched a weeks worth of TV.

No snow here, just a dusting (looks like icing sugar):o Hope everyone is managing if they have it bad.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.. Now to catch up with everyones posts i didnt read properly before i posted
