Anyone know how the new signatures actually work or successfully revised one?

it took me ages to get it right.
in the end I deleted it all and started again!
then for each bit (colour/size/bold/position etc) I previewed signiture before making another change so I knew exactly which bit was wrong!
it took a while but it can be done.

I think I'm about to scream!!! I managed to get mine down to 4 lines but message still kept coming up saying it needs to be shortened - ARGH!!!!

The "superpap" has a different colour per letter, that'll be using up a bit chunk of your limit. the "~" uses more characters in some coding too.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!

Using SRA's advice, I went through it and deleted loads of unnecessary coding (it's just like HTML when you look at it that way), and my old existing sig was down to 857 characters including BCC.

So, I clicked Preview, and got the following message:

The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:

1. Your signature can not be longer than 300 characters excluding BB Code markup.
2. Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 5 line(s).

So it looks as if the goalposts have moved slightly! Just when we got the hang of BCC, it's no longer relevant and it's actual characters we're counting again.

Back to square 1...!

I have no idea about lines or how it calculates them. Will investigate but if BGs don't have the same restrictions it's a bit difficult for me to expertiment
