Failing that, you may have to go back to rubbing the bamboo ones in your hair......Best tip I ever heard....! :)

I cannot work out where I bought the broken needle from. I would have said John Lewis but no trace in my order history. Not showing on Amazon either. there's another pair sitting in the Amazon basket, awaiting the next need for books.

Never mind the need for books, a friend would like me to knit her some socks, so the replacement needles were topped up with the Addi Crasy Trio needles I have been eyeing up for a while ...

    Hello to all,
Just checking in on everyone's makes, and vaguely understanding the needle talk LOL
There's only a few brands of looms. Some being formed of plastic end up with a 'seam' around them which can rub on your fingers a fair bit but I've given those ones a run round with some sandpaper and they've been fine. Hooks seem to be an issue for most who loom knit, I guess because everyone's hands are different, the way we hold them, how we pull our stitches etc so most end up with a sore spot - akin to if you write too much. I've taken to wearing a 'corn cover plaster' on my finger which has helped.
Projects for me currently are an ordered pair of the fingerless mittens (had to wait for yarn delivery) and my chakra rainbow blanket. I have a feeling it wont end up as wide as id have liked so I may have to add a thickish border all around it as my hope is to use it as a treatment couch cover. I've so far done 4/5 of the red LOL so a while to go just yet.
Quarantine, agoraphobia and Netflix will serve me well on getting it done though I think in the next 3 weeks or so.

Well, here is the sheep I was knitting when my needle broke.

Of course the ceremony was cancelled, but this sheep may safely graze in our office until it's re-scheduled.
    He is SO cute, @Savvy_Sue!

The modular square blanket is coming along nicely.  Usually manage three blocks in an evening.  I'm using up all my odds and ends and those random balls of sock wool that you buy because you like the colour.  I've realized I'm never going to knit all of those socks.
I haven't got the attention span after work to knit on my Christmas presents.  This year I'm doing a Maple Leaf shawl/scarf thing.  It's very pretty.  If you want to see what it looks like it's on knitme.ca.  I just don't have the talent to post links.

Hope you are all well and healthy and not breaking any more needles.

Fingerless mittens completed for me today (an order), and I'm still working on my rainbow/chakra blanket. Its going to end up a little longer than I had intended and I will need to add borders down the sides to widen in to offset the length so that'll need some wool ordering. Trying to have a few little projects on the go as the biggie. So up next will be some headbands, and body puffs/scrubbies with some cotton to be used up.

I've just started a blanket to use up my scraps. I lost my knitting mojo when the lock down started, I'm over 70 and high risk so can't go out at all. Was going to use the squares near they end of my knitting magazine but having read them all I now find they are different thickness of yarn and all different sizes so I shall have to re write them to make them all the same size and for DK.
