I quite like doing hats. These look interesting and GDS will definitely have an exclusive one.
I will try the two needle gloves. I expect they will knit quicker.0 -
A lot quicker! I'm a fast knitter but not on circular needles or tiny wee toothpick DPNS. They slow me right down and bug me so I prefer to knit straight and just seam it. I'm a lazy mess lol0

I know a few of you have knitted hitchhiker scarfs. Just wondering if you have only knitted them in 4ply or have experimented with other wools? Thanks0

I have knitted eight so far, ranging from fine ply and in other thicknesses to equivalent dk. For 4 of them I used stash but two strands at a time. They all turned out really lovely and very drapey.0

I've done them in 4ply and DK. Perfect and very handy.0

Has anyone used Drops yarn? If so, were you happy with how it knitted?
I have been looking at buying some to knit socks and the price is very good but I usually find that you get what you pay for and don't want to waste time knitting something I am not happy with.
In fact, I probably wouldn't finish them so that would be a waste!
Thanks.0 -
Drops is excellent and it's price-controlled by the makers so that sellars can't make huge profits on it. It's my most-used wool. Washes well and lasts well. I use Fabel and Big Fabel, Delight and Alaska.0

Can anyone advise what sort of things I could knit with about 200g of yarn? I'm looking at the Readicut sale and they have some lovely yarn but most of the packs are about four balls of 50g and I don't want to start buying it if there's not much I could knit with it.
ThanksDid owe £9,951.96

I plan to re-stock up on Drops when their sock yarn goes on sale again (over the summer I think?). Have knit a few pairs with it (Fabel and Delight) and love them. Definitely want to stock up on white (and maybe some solids) for contrast heels/toes as well.0

Cowl, hat, small shawl, baby clothes? Depends on the weight of the wool, but 200g of heavier weight will go farther than 200g of fingering (though that would make a small shawl or 2 pairs of socks).0
