wow that looks really great, the pattern was lovely, not seen that before. mind you as i was self taught as i child i only know knit, purl or cable so have to do things like moss or any other combination of the three. am struggling with a make it kit myself. it looks easy enough but realised what part i didnt need to take any notice of may well turn out to be a major part of the pattern. so am back to my crochet blanket that i pull out now and again when i need a break from whatever project i am at at the time. mind you have quite a few half finished things. one in particular is causing me grief as unfortunately as it was getting so involved i left it for a while and now dont know what bit i was up to and dd2 not happy as they are fingerless gloves and she is nagging me daily that it will be summer soon and she will never get to wear them :o

That pattern is sooooooo easy, I was doing it while I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night lol!

    Morning all.
Off to the Pins & Needles Exhibition shortly.

Finished this last night as a little exercise. Not sure
    A) If it needs blocking
    B) The best way to block

    Opinions please?

Does the pattern suggest blocking ?
    What fibre is it ?
Do you like it as it is or would you like it shaped slightly differently ?
Hard to say just based on a picture, sorry, it is lovely though!

Orkney, its an odd ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino I found in a remnant bin. Never used it before so not sure if it needs blocking.

Will look it up on Ravelry.

Just got back from the Pins & Needles with some Noro Silk Garden, Can Can, Loopy, beautiful little scissors and a Knitting book. Well pleased, although disappointed that there was nobody selling interchangeable needles.

There's a very good thread in Techniques (blocking - before and after) on Ravelry. I must admit I've been lazy in my previous knitting life as regards blocking. Having read an awful lot of the thread, I'm going to be good and give it a go.

Boobed on the circular knitting needle. Did 15 rows then realised that somewhere at the beginnning I must have had a twist in the cord and ended up with the rib all twisted. :o

Ooops. I did that just the once when I started knitting on five dpns. Never mind, I bet you never do it again! I'm itching to try circulars, but got too much on the go already.

Re blocking- I do it more these days. Currently knitting a beret which apparently must be blocked by being stretched over a dinner plate!
