    Hello

I hope you don't mind me asking a question :o

I'm very new to knitting and have done a couple of scarves which have turned out quite well. Now I've started on a beginner's level cardi for my sister's baby and have got three rows in doing knit one purl one and the knitting at one end of my needle is much longer than the other! Does anyone know how this might have happened?

I suspect it's something very simple, just how I feel trying to follow the pattern! :rotfl:

    Thank you :)

    Hi Kitschy
Is it possible you did a "turn" by mistake? I'm wondering if you stopped mid way through a row and when you picked it up again, picked it up the wrong way round and carried on knitting in the other direction. This would mean (for example) one end is 2 rows deep and the other 4? I've done this before and find my mistakes generally correlate with trying to knit with the children around!

    Hi k2tog

Thank you - that might be right! I have a 10 week old kitten whose arrival coincided with my desire to learn to knit and I've been turfing him off my lap all afternoon

I've pulled it all off and am in the middle of casting on again - I think this could be a long learning curve :rotfl:

Kids, kittens and knitting go together like oil and water :rotfl:
Keep at it and don't forget to put it zipped away out of kitten's sight. There are some very knowledgeable people on here (I don't include myself in that!) if you get stuck with the pattern.

    Hi all,
I'm asking on behalf of my friend who's an avid knitter. Do any of you know where she can get a pattern for a 'Bassets liquorice allsorts' jumper.
She had the pattern years ago and made several jumpers for friends, and she's been asked for another. Any help appreciated. Ta.

    Or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220440141524&ih=012&category=41238&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1

It's not for sale anymore, but at least you can see the pattern number which might help.

That one (above)on ebay didn`t sell - if you scroll further down, it`s still available and you can `Buy it now` not wait for auction to end - yay..

Does anyone here know where I can find Glow-in-the-Dark DK yarn/wool? I've tried google for it without luck. Thought for a moment I found 100g for £2.75 but it turned out its only fluorescent under UV light.
I came across it last night whilst reading a blog so I know it exists
I got a fab pattern to crochet little ghosts and would love to make them for Halloween, so if anyone here can help I would be most grateful

Edit: I've now contacted two places in the USA to see if they ship abroad.
