Have looked on ebay but still quite pricey due to postage...anyone know where we can get one for under £25?
Thanks :beer:0 -

I'll move you over to the family board.

i got mine delivered from john lewis. it was 20 pounds plus delivery, and then used one of their 10 off codes, so came to about 13 pounds.
this was 2 years, but they always seem to have those offers for 10 off. it's a safety first travel fold up one. [was same price at argos then].
however, that was the only available model. it was just an expanding pressure fit, so i had to learn to climb over it [quite high] - as it was hard work to open and close it each time. new models now have easy open i believe - for parents only though0 -
I got mine at an NCT Nearly New sale (along with 1/2 the contents of the nursery lol). They're definitely worth keeping an eye out for - if you look on their website you'll be able to find your nearest branch and a list of events. Also, some branches have their own website so it's worth googling as well.

I need to geta stairgate for my 11 month old and he is now getting everywhere. I looked on the which site and it said the safety first was good but can't seem to find any on the internet, any ideas.
Or does anyone know any others that are good?

Any of the Lindam ones in Argos/Mothercare are good...I would recommed the pressure fit ones, (they don't need permanent fixing so can be taken on visits) be sure that your opening isn't wider than a normal doorway or you will need to buy an extension bit. Hope this helps.0

You can also try contacting your local Sure Start as they have them also, 1 of my friends recieved 1 for only £5 and they even fitted it, Brand new and fully complied with all saftey regulations£2 coin savers club = £118
20p saver club = £275.80 :T yippeeeee0 -
try kiddicare.com have quite a few in different sizes both metal and wooden personally I always had metal as less likely to be damaged during a temper tantrum. also go for one if possible with a wide opening and with no bottom bar as less likely to stub toes, trip etc. Gates that screw to wall are more secure that pressure ones a particular concern at the top of the stairs. Just remember in a few months his new trick will be climbing over the stairgate, my son did well before he was 2 years old!!!0
