Was watching bloomberg last night, although there were a lot of falls, citigroup had the biggest fall at ~7%.
  • Hi, I've just joined the forum. I too got an agg letter (for egg money card) and i also have savings, which I'm intending to move elsewhere. I'm incensed that I can't access my money as the site has been down since yesterday morning and egg customer service is worse than useless (and rude, to boot). Does anyone know the best place to complain to? Can the FSA do something about the site being unavailable and customers having no access to their money?
  • I just tried the site - it's back up and I've made a successful transaction. I'll still be moving my savings though!
  • Thanks for the info - I've just been in and transferred my savings elsewhere, so Egg no longer have to be troubled by my custom at all.

I have had mine cancelled - no letter yet found out online. I owe about £5000.00 , and alsways pay at least the mininmum payment ( sometimes more ) every month. This is the most I owe any card. The thing I cant believe is I have an egg loan which I have almost finished paying.I have never missed a payment on this.I have had my loan for 3 years ( no problems) and the egg card for 8.I went over my egg limit by a few pounds twice last year so presume this must be there problem.
  • We've not got any Egg cards, but my wife received a letter today inviting her to apply for an Egg Visa Card. Apparently "You know where you are with Egg!".
It's going straight in the bin.

The EGG site is down again, after being off for about 24 hours and then working again briefly. Something strange surely?
  • Finally managed to log in and found that there wasn't any messages waiting for me. I have an Egg Money card - are these not affected?

Seems the BBC are taking this seriously - one to keep an eye out for tomorrow...

PUBLICATION: BBC One, Breakfast JOURNALIST: Linda McCann (staff)

QUERY: Has your bank or credit card company reduced your credit card limit recently even though you are a good payer and pay your bill off in full every month? If so, we'd like to speak to you for a pre-recorded TV interview on Thursday.
Can confirm this as have spoken to Linda McCann on the phone. The BBC appear to be widening the issue to whether banks in general are dumping good payers who make them little profit citing EGG as the background.

Also she appears to be investigating how to make a proper complaint to OFT and the "rather unfortunate" comments from Angela Knight of BBA.
