For better value purchasing than lakeland try www.wahlshop.co.uk or www.yoghurtdirect.co.uk
I have ordered from both and haven't had any problems with either. My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Is it possible to make custard flavour yoghurt without the sachets? I just use a normal thermos flask to make normal yoghurt and I'd love to flavour it - do you think custard powder added to the mix would work????I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I`d give it a try with a tiny bit to see if its ok, my fave for yogurt flavouring is to simmer some chopped apple with cinnamon and sultanas or raisins and a tiny bit of sugar, pour it into ice cube trays and freeze.
Just pop one into a portion of yogurt the night before eating it and in the morning its thawed and just needs a stir. Lovely

The other place to get Easi-Yo sachets from is QVC. Their on-line deals are much better value than Lakeland, even when you take account of the postage.
The other place that I've used is Lawsons on-line shop - they've got a great range, including the lactose-free sachets.0 -
Loving Easiyo, bought the mixed fruit bio flavours and the slimmers then loved the strawberry so much bought a box of it too,i wouldn't bother with the fruit squirts tho as too sweet, better with a few fresh bits of whatever takes your fancy-or is cheap and in season locally.Trying to be good:A... not too good:naughty:... just a bit good!;)0

It might be worth making sure the water you use isn't too cold,i normally have most success if i add a sploosh of boiling water to the cold before mixing the easi-yo sachet.
I tried making my own and that was really good too but, trying to be good and him indoors is trying to lose some of his padding and feel the slimmer is better for that reason alone altho own made IS thicker and creamier and even more yummy.Trying to be good:A... not too good:naughty:... just a bit good!;)0 -
really got to get back going with our easi-yo - just wait for the next half price promo at julian graves and then I can stick up on mixes and use them this time before they go out of date. they don't work if that happens3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Anyone have an Easiyo maker they are willing to part with? I'm interested in trying it out. I found the external flask/thermos at a local thrift shop, but it didn't have the internal jar!0

I would imagine you could use an old jar or any screw top plastic beaker if you already have the flask bit, just add less mix or use UHT milk etc (which I much prefer to the mixes anyway!)0

Ok, maybe I am dense but I have read pretty much all of this thread and just when I think I have got it someone seems to contradict it. I am basically trying to find out how I use my Easiyo youghurt maker using ordinary or UHT milk and still preserivng all the live cultures. When using the sachets I mix them with room temperature water and then put boiling water in the Easiyo and then put the jar with the powder mixture into the Easiyo which has the boiling water in it.
Now if I want to use ordinary or UHT milk do I need to boil the milk first or can I just use it at room temperature. And if I do have to boil it can I then use it at room temperature or do I have to make it very cold or something else?
I hope my question is clear. If anybody is kind enough to answer I hope you make your answer idiot proof for me.
Thanks for reading.0
