Just got back form my shop at Tesco and found 12 beef in gravy. But when I got home I have noticed the lad at the checkout has only scanned 7 of them. This was because I picked up a wrapped plastic pack that had six beef in gravys bundled together and he has scanned the whole pack as 1!

I don't know whether to go back down to town to customer services and say " You have undercharged me". Do you think that they will look at me as if I am daft? Or shoudl I just sit and enjoy my free beef in gravys?

I would definitely go back cos you probably WON'T enjoy the beef in gravy.

During the last few days of this beef offer be careful as I picked up 6 boxes and when I paid they were all at £1.25.

Apparently the larger size 224g ? is in a smaller box than usual and looks almost identical to the 114g.

CS wouldn't refund on their usual policy for overcharging as it was the correct price.
for the weight. The cs girl said she would have to call the manager.

He came and I walked to the freezer with him. He said they were no 65p boxes people were buying them for the points!! And I should have looked at the weight. I told him the heavier box was now nearly identical to the lower weight ones whereas before they were distinguishable.
I asked for a refund and he said ok but asked how long they had been out of the freezer . ( All of 20 mins while waiting in the queue at cs.) Eventually agreed but told the cs girl to take off the points. She said she couldn't . He obviously didn't know how the system worked either and the cs girl said they don't take off points they don't know a way to do it. Manager wasn't happy about that.

I then got cheeky and asked for a raincheck voucher with the extra points for the 65p ones that weren't available. They both looked at me and said they don't give them on those kind of offers as it is 'limited to availability'.

I did get a refund on all the beef and also got all the points for it so I didn't push my luck any further.

Offer ends Tuesday but watch the size of the boxes.

  • I got my order cancelled as they said it was their policy on bulk buying that they don't let you have more than 4 of one item? Anyone else had this?
