Been and brought 3 weight watcher and 3 birds eyes meals today, I couldn't face getting anymore but these will come in handy over the next week or so as I wont be at home to cook food much.

I also tried the temporary card and it worked a treat :) Not sure if I'll try it again as Big Brother will have his eye on me and will figure out what I've done and I'll loose all my points.

Still thats 350 extra points :D Florida here I come :p
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

p.s Someone posted about the temporary cards extra 100 points, a while ago I forgot my card (heavens above) and I got a money off voucher or points voucher I can't remember which to encourage me to shop in store again and get a card, I did it a couple of times it was great. Might try the temp card thing today.

Is the thing with the temporary cards still working? Tried it the other day and was very disappointed not to get 100 points slip but from what I've read are some people still getting them?

Have read through Flyertalk - I was disgusted! Tales of throwing beef away as soon as it was bought and laughing about it.
Flyertalk members slate MSE members but I know which site I'd rather be associated with.
I also know you're reading this RJB!!!!

  • I think it is great that you are all taking advantage of this offer and earning truck loads of points, I can only afford to get a few a week but it all helps! Wouldn't mind but we always seem to have plenty in our store only I can't take them up on it :o wish I could afford to buy 8148 lots of beef like tightperson has done, enjoy spending all those points :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm guessing most of you won't be using your points on the new deals Tesco are offering?

Funerals and private health care...next thing you know they'll be big signs in store...

They're just upset that MSE, and it's huge membership, will upset their [Beef in] Gravy train.

I don't quite see what rights they think they have to these deals, and don't really care but after seeing the same reports of laughing at beef dumping, and the "why is everyone so hung up on the bloody charity aspect?" type posts.... if they think MSErs are some sort of underclass, I suggest they look at themselves.

Of course this doesn't apply to all of flyertalk... but it's the norm it seems.

    hi,

I have been told by 3 stores today that they are not expecting any more deliveries of beef in gravy until after sept 6 (no co-incidence ??), so fill your boots now. I asked one stores about getting the raincheck voucher if stock not available and whether this applys to points (ie we can get the vouchers now with points for when stock arrives), but no-one was sure, any clarification on this as it would save loads of hassle

Colin you are quite right,I was just going to post this. I went and collected my delivery this morning 5340 beef, they also had 1000 chicken there which I didn't take. The Customer Services said that Birds Eye had been on to Head Office as they were losing too much money and that the promotion was being pulled off 2 weeks early tonight.Luckily the Manager had sneeked another 2000 beef in for me that I thought had been cancelled when I went on Sun. I was told to pay for it all today and take it otherwise after midnight the promo was off, which I did.

As I posted earlier the ones I collected on sun. were only made 10 days ago which means that Birds Eye have virtually run out.I bet some one at Birds Eye is counting the cost and whoever agreed the promo having their knuckles wrapped.

So now I've had 10,148 beef. It's amazing really.Every morning before I go to work I bring up my new points balance on the website and it makes me smile.

Two questions that I don't have answers to and I would like to know.

1.What is the biggest points total ever ( anyone from Tesco here that can answer that?)

    2. I'm going to end up with over £7000 worth of vouchers worth £28,000 to £30,000 in deals as I already had nearly 100,000 points before the beef. What will the biggest value vouchers be? When I've had £300 before the largest ones were £47 each.

If your Tesco has any left ,then as Colin says you'll have to get them tonight.
