:o In my local Tesco in Northampton today they had the beef in gravy with yellow stickers on it reduced to 65p and chicken in gravy reduced to £1.00 some of the others were reduced and had yellow stickers too.
All still had the extra points promotion.

I picked up my second bulk order of beef today ... 999 packs not 1000 cos the computer said noooo.

The homeless shelter were very happy if not a little confused as to why i keep offloading my beef to them!

Well Done, just in time I think
  • Its amazing how tescos stores vary in their policy ..... 1000`s of packs of beef being ordered with no problems for some people .... YET I was refused 12 packs of chocolate bars at the till last week ....with the ... your not allowed buy more than 10 of any one item rule as this breaks tescos bulk buying policy

But WELL DONE to all who gained loads of points from this offer !

The reason Tesco (sometimes) employ this (varying) policy on "bulk" buys is so that the shelves always have stock for everyone. If someone clears the freezers of beef lots of people who want some after...will be out of luck. With a special order the stock never hits the shop floor, and doesn;t impact the stocks there. Of course the willingness of different tescos to place special orders varies greatly.........but that's Tesco.

You don't sound thick. We all start somewhere.

237 points = £2.37 clubcard vouchers = £2.37 to spend in store. OR

Alternatively, Tesco will also multiply this £2.37 by 4 to give £9.48 in deals tokens, which you can spend on a range of goods listed in their deals catalogue.

Click on the links on the left here to see where you can spend these deals tokens

Not a big user of tesco.com, but was there a code you needed to type for free delivery? I think P + P should have been labelled £0.00 at the end of your order. Best to email tesco and check this one out.

Also, you won't access the £2.37 of vouchers until November when they get sent out to you.

  • thanks for the quick reply it states in the small print no promotional code for this offer and points will be added to your feb 06 statement, even if im charged the delivery i will still make £5 as checked the price against amazon so think i will go for this :) i will get into this as i want to go on a winter holiday next year with family so ive got 16 months, fingers crossed!

I'm going to end up with over £7000 worth of vouchers worth £28,000 to £30,000 in deals as I already had nearly 100,000 points before the beef. What will the biggest value vouchers be? When I've had £300 before the largest ones were £47 each.

Never mind Royal Mail Special Delivery. you'll be needing a securicor van when you come to exchange them for deal tokens! :rotfl:

Following the post re the offer being over, I have just checked the website and they appear to only have taken the 114gr (65p) off the offer! The cheapest you can buy now is the chicken in gravy - 156g at £1.00.

The beef is gone, long live the beef!
