patchwork cat, mine was pork belly. (Roasted plain, skin side up, for 3 1/2 hours at 150 or 130 in a fan oven. Fantastic). The bbq pork and noodles was beerqueen - would like that recipe too!!!!

It was yummy! It's loosely adapted from the Wagamama cook book - official name Roasted Honey Pork Ramen - its a soupy dish needing a big bowl each - and it's very messy to eat!

For 4 people. Earlier in the day I chopped up loads of veg (couple of potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, bit of spinach and simmered for a while to make big vat of veg stock - about 2 litres in total. Coat 525g pork fillet in 4 tbs BBQ sauce (I mixed Hoi sin sce with Soy sauce, garlic and bit of chilli oil) and roast until done - I think about 3/4 hour in hot oven. For last five minutes add 4 tsp of runny honey. Cook enough noodles for 4 people in the stock for however long packet says. For last 2-3 minutes add 4-6 chopped spring onions and about 8 handfuls of chopped fresh spinach. Divide between 4 big bowls. Slice the pork and pile it on top.

The recipe should actually be chicken stock but as my daughter is veggie I decided to make the veg stock. And for her I just did a quorn chicken fillet in the same sauce as the pork.

I will post a piccie later as my son was out at work last night and is having his today and his bowlful is in the fridge.
