Hello.
Also my first time posting but been trying to become more old style for the last 2 weeks after realising sometimes I spend £100 a week for 2 adults, 2 kids (plus OH's daughter every other weekend).
Bought a slow cooker last week and managed to slash my food shop to £50 this week
Anyways:
Today: Sausage casserole in the slow cooker, served with beetroot and cabbage
Friday: Out for tea as it's son's party at a local pub
Saturday: Savoury mince done in slow cooker with mash as I am at work and it will be pretty much done when I get in.
Sunday: Chicken curry with rice and naan
Monday: Spaghetti Bolognese with turkey mince for a change
Tuesday: Moroccan Chicken and rice
Wednesday: Something quick like pasta and smoked sausage as its a busy day
Thursday: Beef Casserole from the freezer or I may defrost the reduced sirloin I got and serve with chips.

Fri - pizza (first attempt at topping a bought base ourselves)
Sat - sweet and sour chicken stir fry & noodles
Sun - roast beef, roast spuds, yorkies, veg
Mon - beef and bean casserole with mash
Tue - chicken risotto
Wed - freezer leftovers or corned beef hash
Thu - freezer leftovers or HM sausage roll, HM wedges.0 -
Everything homemade (unless noted otherwise) and vegan!
Friday
Pizza with fresh tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted garlic & onions
( Today I am making two pizza crusts for the freezer, so that takes care of next two Fridays)
Saturday
Veggie fajitas (cauliflower, broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, onions etc) with guacamole, salsa, spring onions & vegan sour cream on homemade wraps
Sunday
Nut roast
Veggie gravy
Roasted veg, including homegrown oca
Monday
Pasta with 20 minute Sunday gravy
Salad
Tuesday
Falafels in pita with salad & tahini sauce
(We are addicted to these. Finished the store bought falafels, so will try homemade ones this time.)
Pan-fried new potatoes
Wednesday
Indian wraps made with:
Succulent mountain mushrooms, chutneys, spring onions etc + homemade wraps
Samosas (store bought)
Thursday
Veggie sausage & bean casserole
Salad

I was reflecting on my meal plan when I was sitting waiting at the doc's. It looks boring to me somehow. Will have to have a think.Penny-Pincher!! wrote: »Hello to all the new peeps!!

here's my meal plan.
i started it on tuesday tho as i went shoppign on sunday. was supposed to start ti on sunday , but ws very poorly. but it nearly 2 weeks worth as i find it easier to shop for 2 weeks meals at a time.
TUE ~ Beef steak chilli with basmati rice
WED ~ Thai pork mince and rice
THUR ~ Pasta with bacon and peas and grated cheese on top
FRI (1st feb ) ~ Jacket potatos stuffed with broc, cheese and egg
SAT ~ Speedy chicken cous cous
SUN ~ Spicy morrocan chicken with cous cous
MON ~ Moroccan lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce with rice
TUE ~ Chicken with green lentils and new potatoes
WED ~ Tomato and tuna pasta with grated cheese
THUR ~ Spag bol, with home made garlic bread
FRI ~ chicken curry for hubby and i and as a treat fish fingers and chips for kids as it a home made take away night
SAT ~ Home made ham and cheese pizza with wedges
SUN ~ Lasagne with garlic bread and peas
MON ~ Cajun chicken with fruity rice.
i know this prob looks like alot of rice/pasta and mince type meal's. but for me i find this a simple way to do my meal plan. then for the next two weeks, we will prob have alot of potato meal's.
Most recipes on my planner are taken from various easy cook mags which i subscribe to. Everything is all cooked from scratch apart fromt hte kids fish fingers on fri night as no matter how many time i make them none of us like them, so shop bought birds eye ones it is.
Hope don't look too boring.0 -

Wednesday: fish pie
Thursday: spag bol0 -
