    Great Mealplans everyone,

Stuck to mine really well last week.

    Here goes this weeks offerings......

TODAY: Sweet & sour chicken (with extra peppers & mushrooms), beansprouts & noodles. {DH loved this & asked for it this week}.

FRIDAY: Gammon steaks, boiled potatoes, mashed turnip, carrots & gravy.

SATURDAY: Steak, mushrooms, onion rings, chips & pepper sauce.

SUNDAY: Stew (fed up making roast on a sunday as we're always rushing to go somewhere, I can cook this in advance & just reheat it).

MONDAY: Chicken fajitas (leftover stew for DD).

TUESDAY: Breaded cod, boiled potatoes, carrots, green beans & white sauce.

WEDNESDAY: Mini scotch eggs, waffles & beans (need quick tea).

THURSDAY: Tuna pasta bake with salad.

This always makes me hungry & I'm trying to lose weight / eat smaller portions. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Icecubequeen, were you planning on making meals with the chicken breasts, then re-freezing?

If so, how about chicken fajitas, make the chicken, peppers, sauce etc; freeze like a casserole then defrost, reheat and serve with wraps.

Chicken casserole, chicken curry, chicken & broccoli pasta bake, chicken & mushroom pie, sweet & sour chicken....

Can you tell I like chicken????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Yeah thats the plan.

I usually get a bag of chicken breasts, which freeze seperately so are easy to take out one by one to defrost and use as needed.

But picked up a pack of fresh chicken breasts which came in a tray and when i froze them, they have all stuck together, so can't use em one by one, so intend on defrosting them all, then cooking up diff recipes, then refreezing them as seperate meals.

Thanks for the ideas above, loving chicken fajhitas mmmmmm yum!:j

icecubequeen, I buy the frozen bags of chicken breasts from Tesco, but I also buy the fresh one's from the butchers that come on the tray.

When I buy the fresh one's I usually take them out of the tray & wrap each of them individually in a piece of cling film, then put them all in a bag and freeze them.

That way I can just take out 2 or 3 when I need them.

I didn't do this with the steak or pork chops I have in the freezer though, so I'm like you and I'll have to defrost the full pack.

    DOH!!!!
  • Hello to all the new peeps!!
