We are still awaiting the Mac code from Pipes, DH has been chasing them all week, but hey as long as I can still get on here I don't mind. We are going to move to Tiscali (yes I know association I hear you say with Pipex) but will cost so much less so thats the main thing.

Just be careful with Tiscali - I think it was Taxi that had a run-in with them and was off for some time.

Watch with Pipex! When we changed my son (aka technical consultant rofl) rang, told them that we wanted a Mac code. They made my son an offer, but he said that I paid the bill not him and that in any event he was giving notice as of that day.

Not only did it take about 2 weeks to get the code from them, they said that our file was marked as "considering another offer" and so our notice hadn't started and the $%^&*! charged us another month's fees! Nothing we could do would change their minds. Good riddance.

Thanks for the warning..ive looked at so many providers and half of which we can't get in deepest darkest Dorset and Dh wants unlimited download (grrr) so this is our only option at present.

Dam Pipex have been nothing but trouble and will be so glad to get rid of them!

Ive been searching on education stuff to do with Bea. She is very demanding and wants to be stretched the whole time. Any Primary teachers out there, what can I do with a very bright 2 year old....that runs rings around me.

doea your local library have a toy library? very cheap, she can choose something different and it doesn't have to clutter the house as if you bought it!

Well reminded, we are members of a toy library and they drop off at her nursery so wouldn't even have to go and collect.
Wonder what they have, haven't been for getting on for a year

  • Heya Sallyx! Do you get Virgin Media down your way? That's who I use for the phone and broadband and I know they are doing broadband at £4.50 for 12 months if you take out their phoneline which is about £11 or so per month. Meaning you could get both for under £15. They have just changed my deal as I am an existing customer and have done it so my broadband is £9 per month, which is fab as I was paying £18 per month for it! Let me know if you find a whiteboard! I am after one too for the same reason! I think they sell them in Woolies so will be checking there soon! Hope you are ok! xxx

God I have been absolutely useless...from being obsessed about every penny, checking my banks countless times in the day and working out when I would transfer money etc, to having No idea what the hell I have spent in the last few days.
Ive well and truely fallen off the wagon, god knows what I have spent this week, I know that i spent over the £50 budget and then yesterday I went to London for work and ended up buying lunch, snacks, drinks in Costa and to top it then some new pyjamas for DD.
When I seem to come up against any real temptation or with people who have money I seem to just loose it. My Boss was with me yesterday and I am totally in awe of her, she's pregnant again, got her own sucessful business, managed to pay off her mortgage so has enless money and quite frankly im jelous. :( I know its stupid and I should be happy with what I have and its my own fault for where I am now but hey!
Been to tesco to do my shop and also spent £80 grrrrrr, only have £70 now for the rest of the month. Why oh Why am I so stupid

Well Feeling much better today. I have an outstanding balance of £3708.16 on our car loan which is with a DCA and they have offered before a F&F Settlement of 60% off balance so that would leave £1483.26. Ive worked out that I could pay this off by end of March. I have £680 in savings and hoping to boost that with another £20 this week in ebay sales. I will then get paid approx £470 end of month and £420 end March. Im waiting for a min of £65 from Quidco so that gives me a grand total of £1655:j.
So so can someone advise me if they accept my offer what will appear on my credit file? Settled in full, partially settled? If its put on my credit file as partially settled how will that affect me in the future? Would it be better to wait and pay it off in full?
    God I have no idea!
