What can i feed the fussiest eater in the world?

believe me, its been the source of many an argument
he would eat stew till its falling out his ears, however, the one thing im less keen on is stew (although i eat it sometimes) so that sounds a good idea, i forgot about stews..
If that's the case; Make a large one, and freeze in portions and just keep getting it out day after day - and cook something tasty for yourself whilst it is thawing and heating up.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
its always a problem. he wont eat something that has been in the freezer for more than a few days (he is obsessed with what he calls 'sell bys', by which he means use by dates) and wont allow anything in the house that has been reduced, whereas i used to get all my shopping from the reduced sections!!
i have just told him that we are having chicken in some form or another (i might bash the breast flat as they are so small and pan fry it with a flour coating) and celeriac chips. he said that he too will end up losing weight because everything will be inedible and are celeriac chips an established food or have i just 'made them up'.
he lives in the world of 1950s greasy, rationed canteen food. he would be happy with boiled potatoes, cabbage and meat every single night, urgh.
oh, and he wont eat salmon either0 -
or baked beans
i could probably keep this thread going simply by talking about what he wont eat0 -

Boiled potatoes, cabbage and stew every night for him, something yummy for you (including celeriac chips!)
I have to say if my OH was this fussy I would make him cook for himself, particularly if he was rude about what I had made!0 -
My OH used to be fussy! Then he decided he wanted to actually eat at nights.
OP I would cook whatever you fancied and eat it in front of him....!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

he is an overspender, if its left to him, he will go back out, go to the shop and get rubbish (tinned chilli, fray bentos pie etc etc) and eat enough for 2-3 people in one sitting. he would buy jar curry sauces, jar bolognese sauces (even though he doesnt like pasta he will sometimes eat spaghetti), so i cant let him cook for himself as he wouldnt cook the food that is in the house0 -
plus i cant cope with the mess he leaves in the kitchen.0

I like root veg mash with sausages or chicken breast and maybe crispy potatoes.
Get all your root veg peel, boil and mash with a bit of low fat spread.
With your chicken breast I fry mine in spray oil with an OXO cube and then seperately I boil my potatoes and then add them to the chicken frying pan when the chickens half cooked so they taste of OXO cube. It makes them quite meaty tasting which shouldn't be too flavourful for your man but if it is then just fry the potatoes with spray oil and steam/put in the oven in foil the chicken.
I'm on WW and I eat this at least once a week and it's a 7- 9 pp meal depending on if you use chicken or sausages or quorn sausages.
He sounds like a fussy !!!!!!, what you said about Fray Bentos pies makes me think of my stepdad! He loves them but my Mum phased them out after he came to live with us. He also loves to buy things that comes in cans (my parents have a misguided wartime belief they last "forever") and we have had up to 16 cans of beans at any one time from where he has gone to the shop for a 'few bits' and bought a 4pack of beans 'just in case'. Men, eh?0
