Thanks to both yourself and big bouncyball for reminding me why I never post on these forums anymore. Read my post again; did I anywhere state that she actually paid for the item?

But you didn't state anywhere that they didn't pay for the item and that sort of info is kind of key in such a post...

Thats like me saying "I kicked my postman in the nuts this morning because he came to my house" and then when everyone says "Thats a bit harsh" I throw a strop and say "You're all idiots, wouldn't you do that if your postman came to the house and got intimate with your wife..?"

If you had said that in the first place I would actually have agreed with you, but I can't read minds, only go of info given in the posts.

Doesn't look good to me either. It's not feedback if you can't do it.

I hardly sell on Ebay anymore, so won't really affect me.
    Happy chappy
  • Leaving negative feedback has always been a careful and cautious process due to it's two way process. It helps to keep everything balanced and in my opinion by removing the option to neg on a buyer then that balance will be disrupted and unfortunately there are always going to be buyers who may be slightly wronged at a delay in delivery etc who will leave negative feedback without fear of reprisal on their own feedback rating.

I can see some of the points that ebay are making but it seems the system works relatively fine as it is and they shouldn't meddle with it.

We'll have to see. It will be interesting to hear what fellow ebayers have to say on the matter.

I am merging threads as I think as people are spotting this in newspaper articles or via other news groups we will get more and more threads appear and it makes sense to just add them to the main thread.

just recieved an email from ebay to remind me as a seller i have still to leave feedback for some items!

what a joke of a website.i had to laugh!

    ...work permit granted!
  • received that email few days bak for 1 of my ID's

had to laugh at the third point, how on earth will that remain to be the case if you remove the ability of the seller to leave a neg?

ebay is now all about hype and PR, no actions to justify their own words anywhere

If you think that leaving a seller neg feedback 5 days after the end of an auction, even if the buyer paid ASAP is justified then good luck to you!:T

I think its appalling! I've had some awful buyers and think i should have the chance to respond to the sale accordingly!
