My sister is having problems with cancelling sky on this offer, they keep billing her for £19.00 and i feel awful as i told her to get it no doult she will sort it out:rolleyes:0

littleredhen-the letters are computer generated and will have been issued 5-7 days before they get to you, so they may well have in effect "crossed in the post" with the previous correspondence in your above post's, so don't give up hope yet.0

Lippycow, sorry to hear of yet another one.
Make sure she uses the AllCustomerCareEscalation@BSkyB.com (the capitalisation is correct) email address to complain. We suggest a brief covering email with a Word Processed letter giving full details as an attachment-good luck.0 -

i have to say after i had calmed down:mad: i did think that - so i peeled the stamps back off the lettersand left them on the side to post next week - i also rechecked my email from sky and that also said the account had been cleared - so you are right of course - i must learn to stop being so impulsive and give things time to sort themselves out:rotfl:

Hey,
Just want to highlight that SKY will NEVER call a customer to notify them that their discounted package promotion has ended. A promo code is entered on the system which will automatically expire after the promotion has ended.
For those who are stuck within the 12 month contract and on a high tier package, calling SKY and asking to downgrade their package may find themselves offered a wee promo
note that when you call to upgrade your package, this happens immediately, but when you want to downgrade it, you have to have had the package for a min of 30 days. So, for instance if you want to watch a footy prog and upgrade, you need to keep the package for 30 days.
If unhappy with the service and outwith your 12 month minimum subscription, inform the customer services operator that you wish to cancel. When put through to the turnaround department politely outline your complaints and you also might find yourself with a wee promo :T

Re people buying pay per view films in your house when you don't want them to:
You can either set a PIN number or unplug the phone line that is attached to your skybox, that way they can't buy a single sausageHowever, if want to use your interactive features or are a broadband customer i wouldn't do this.
SKY's t&cs state that if you are in your first 12 months subscription that you need to have the phone line connected and will most likely send you threatening letters if it isn't. However reconnecting and calling customer services and getting them to test the line will remedy this

Other earlier posts on this thread indicate that this is not quite true. Some people have been contacted with regard to the specific offer this thread concerns.
Do you work for Sky, if so any more inside info would be welcomed?0 -

) and all I need to do is call (an 0870 number, of course) to let them know that I'd like to continue with Sky !! Methinks not.
Harz, thanks for posting the email address; as well as sending my previous letter by post, I've also sent it to this email. I've also notified Watchdog, OFT, Dixons and DigitalTV.co.uk.
Will post further developments as and when
Any further news?0 -
I was contacted after a couple of emails in the right direction and my issues have been firmly resolved. I mentioned the dissatisfaction of members on this site alone and was called within 90 minutes. So SKY do contact you, and I hope that those still having issues do not part with any further money after threats from SKY because right IS on your side

My free mixes expire on 8/4 , I had previously received a letter informing me of this and saying that no further action was required on my part. However, I received a letter today saying that I had to set up a direct debit or be charged the £4 per month admin fee. When I rang to query this, the people I spoke to were v helpful, and after looking into it said that they had new instructions for the 'Buy Once' package this morning. They confirmed that I didn't need to do anything and to ignore any letters about DD. Hopefully things are finally filtering down thanks to the people on this forum?0
