I tried that, he's supposedly the smallest option in the resizing I'm not very good at this fancy pants stuff/0 -
I've enjoy reading about Percy the chicken..
My favourite way of cooking a whole chicken is in the slow cooker, its absolutely fab, not rubbery, falls away from the bone. Best all, you don't how to clean the oven!
Honestly, if you give it a go, I doubt you will ever roast a chicken again.

Although I have to convert that to "old money": 5.18 pounds
When I was a kid, Sunday lunch would always be a 2lb 6oz chicken between 5 of us. And it'd do for a couple more meals before finally the carcass went in soup.0 -

No need to ... what the heck would I be doing trying to eat a whole chicken?
And I can't bear skin/bone... and other gristly nasty bits. Like that white rubbery V bone thing.
I can't even eat a meal at a table that has a chicken carcass on it, nor sit at a table where somebody's chewing directly off a bone. ewwww
But this has been a good thread. I've enjoyed the concept of cooking a whole chicken
Let's not think about the yucky bits until we have to
I don't eat skin and hate the feeling of raw flesh, as in it makes me gag, so Wednesday should be fun, REALLY looking forward to prodding about under the raw chicken skin mmmmmmmmmm0 -

I've posted the link to the whole chicken in a slow cooker, I only got one about 4 months ago, and I wouldn't be without it now. They are quite cheap to buy, I paid £19.99 for a Morphy Richards 6.5ltr slow cooker.
